Hey, couldn't you put some ghost shrimp in those bowls? I'm quite impressed that napershop is actually posting. Most people could care less.

Hi Larissa! I appreciate your suggestion. My company slogan is "Always Superior Service". If I don't have all the information about a product that I'm selling, I'll go to the people who do have it.

This is my own business, and I've done everything that you see on NaperShop.com. From web design to product photography to descriptions. If anyone has questions about it, I'm the man to speak to. For those who have suggestions to go along with criticism, I'm all ears.

Naper, I'm really glad to see you accepted my invitation. You've got some really nice advice around here. Maybe, you could try to read some of the first threads (stickies) that are already in the newbie forum. That's the place you can find why filtration and aireation is so important for fish. after you read that, you'll understand why the product you are selling conflicts with the good-fish-keeping rules.

For a solution to your product, you could add a sheet where you might recomend people to add to his bowl a undergravel filter (there are round small ones) with an air pump. Those are cheap artifact and will do a lot to help the fish that's goign to live there.

Again, I want to thank you for dropping by. Honestly, you are the first salesman who's got the guts to come and speak here. Most will only ignore our advice.

Take a read there, and hope you understand us. Good luck wuth the bussiness.

I appreciate your message, and the comments on this board.

I am a small one-man shop. I did not make these aquariums, and I did not write the instruction manual. I purchased them from The Encore Group, who recently purchased United Design, where these were created.

Thanks
I took this to mean you got aquariums and put them into a stand(by the small one man "shop" part. I misunderstood. I was wrong, first time for everything ;).At any rate, my point stands that you Didnt write the manual yourself, and you actually care about what we are saying here, which is a good thing :D

that's just plain scary to think people actually would think this way

Hell, I'm impressed.

Naper, you have totally earned my respect for showing up here. Kudos!

Suggestions that have already been made are good ones. Nothing to add.

Bet that surprises anyone here who knows how verbose I get, eh? ;)

Sorry, I lost the middle two pages of this thread while I was reading the instruction manual link. I am VERY HAPPY to see that the seller actually cares!!

I don't know if I would put neon tetra in there, they need a lot of space to swim and they are not very happy alone. Its a thought though.

Thanks for showing some concern for the health of the fish!!

Snails or shrimp might be fun.
a few of the colorful cherry shrimp and a plant might be cute

Original post "Did I just read "your goldfish will thrive and be a joy to keep" IN A ONE GALLON BOWL

YIKES!! :duh:"

Suggest an update please.

Actually I get paid for copywriting...

The one major suggestion I can make is to remove all instances of the word "Goldfish". Goldfish should not be put in bowls. They are large, messy, and in a good habitat very active.

Goldfish can live over 30 years (yikes). In a bowl that is MUCH less. Please read the following information and you will perhaps understand the reason we "fish literati" scoff at "Goldfish Setups" sold on EBay and elsewhere.

BTW, kudos from me as well on your interest in improving your understanding of the products in your e-store.

1 gallon:
1 betta
2 endlers livebearers
2 white cloud minnows
ghost shrimp
1 or 2 african dwarf frogs

6 gallon:
1 dwarf gourami
1 betta
5 or 6 white clouds or endlers
African dwarf frogs
ghost shrimp

I have updated the instructions from the manufacturer, using the suggestions from Emg specifically. I may add / revise more later, but right now I have to list some more fantasy dragon figures, and all sorts of new Jeep Watches & Gear.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Napershop,

Just a thought, but it might be a good idea to note in the instructions that if the buyer has any questions about care of their fish or aquarium, to NOT ask their LFS, but to come to a site like this one and ask. You could list Aquaria Central's web address, as well as the address of several other sites similar to this one that have been around for a while.

I'm sure people in this thread can make some recommendations on other established aquaria sites like this one.

That's a good idea about putting some web addresses to aquarium forums on the info !

And about that list I made up for you......I do hope whoever reads it realizes that it's "this" OR "that"....and doesn't think that ALL of those fish can go safely in a one gallon tank !!! Lol !
