Well i was at work today husking corn to be out on the floor (i work at a grocery store) and when i opened up a grate of corn this little guy popped out!
It was either kill him or keep him in a little container and take him home. im cursed with love for little semi aquatic and aquatic things so i figured i had a 1.5 gallon tank i could try to make into a terrarium ( i dk if that's for frogs). He obviously lived eating corn, and the manager on hand didn't know which state the corn was from either so i cant say. I dont know what to feed him or how to do whatever.. but i added like an inch of gravel with a heater underneath and 2 inches of water on it, then proceeded to add fake plants and some old aquarium rocks. obviously i have no idea what im doing and i couldnt just let him free, there's so many robins looking for food in their young and hes obviously no where near home! so what kind of frog is this and what the hell should i do lol

Aw, he's cute. Maybe you should put a little corn in there with him, if that's what he was eating. I don't know anything about frog care, though. I hope someone here can help you out!

me too! i stupidly didnt bring any home from work lol, i hope someone can id him and tell me what to do

Frogs do not and will not eat corn, lol.

He was eating bugs in the corn, they are insectivores.

If you can get a bit clearer pic, it might be easier to identify. How big is he? He almost looks like a Peeper.

ill try to get a better pic, probably 1 and half inches?

here he is

Yea actually it does. the bigger picture i posted looks alot like that

Well there you go :) I had a feeling it was a hyla species, but it looked small... But if he is as big as you say, then I am 99.9% that is what he is.

You will need to add either silk or real plants (real are always better) and feed small insects. A more terrestrial set up is what he needs.

There is a lot that goes into taking care of them, it can be challenging. Are you within the home range? If so, you might be able to let him go...

Or if you are really unsure, and don't know what to do, I would take him if you would ship him.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Kristina

i would totally ship him! i dont want to get into frogs even though hes awesome looking! i have no idea how to ship him or what i should keep in there with him when i do!? i live in NY so i dk if i should let him go lol
