I have to say, these new fish I picked up are incredibly awesome. I went to my LFS on days they get stuff in and there were 3 leopard long-fin danios. For some reason either they where new or I didn't see them in the lower tank before. Regardless they have been a great addition to the tank. I believe what I picked up was 2 females and 1 male. I gather this from the way the 2 are more rounded and the 1 is more torpedo ish. Anywho the "male" had developed this gold sheen to him it's great. The main female is huge and the last female is smaller probably younger. There long fins look great and they are super hardy acclimating. Sofar great fish all over the tank and super active. Sofar great fish! They even school with my white clouds and even entice my guppy to join the school!

That's great! Danios in general, are very hardy, long fins are pretty easy to breed for & it may cut down on jumpers, they can't get up the speed or height to make it out of the tank...Good luck! ...& pics are nice (hint!)

These fish are extremely hard to photograph...ill keep hunting tho. Nothing worth uploading yet. I did have something I noticed though and I wanted to share it. The largest female yesterday was HUGE in the belly area, very very fat. The one who I'm assuming is the male was "dancing" with her all day yesterday. Before I turned off the light last night my girlfriend even commented "is that one pregnant" cause she was just so fat. When I turned on the lights today and looked at her belly has reduced in size dramatically. almost night and day. She looks the same belly size as the male now. Do you think she was holding eggs? The two are still chasing eachother around today. I'm assuming all the eggs would have been eaten by my other fish.

Sounds like spawning to me. If you want to try for fry you'll need a separate tank, the parents are just as apt to eat eggs as everyone else, caviar!
