My 125g has that support brace down the center. Do I still get the 72" glass top? Or do I have to look for two that fit a 45g or something? I went to a pet store and they didn't have any that said 125g, I can try another store or two. I would rather order it online, so I don't have to transport it from the store, but I don't find many of these online, or maybe I am searching all wrong?

i would personally get one that is divided into two just so that it would be easier to open for feedings and stuff

whoa, i have a 125 gal tank, and i got the same thing down teh center, but i didn't know you need any sort glass top along with the center glass"strut". what are those glass peices for? like a back splash of some sort?

i have a planted tank, would i lose a significant amount of "magic" for my plants.

I'm talking about a cover for my tank, so that water isn't evaporating so much and it's not losing as much heat. Most people have one, but you don't have to, but the water/heat loss sucks! I'm pretty new to this.

What kind of tank do you have? AGA?

I got it used and don't know, I guess so, it's the standard 125g size. Glass with black frame with the support in the center.

ah, that wouldn't work for my tank, my canopy has a piece of wood down the lateral center. thanks for the info guys, that totally does make sense, the evaporating etc, i really dont know about the heat though, does it lose that much heat if i have a canopy over?

I just go to the hardware store and have them cut glass for me to fit.
