I brought mine back to the store I work at. It was actually really cool though. He ate lots of algae and was neat to look at. Didn't touch my corals once. However, he grew ridiculously fast and was starting to get crammed when he moved around. If I had a larger tank I would have kept hum. Cool animal though.
I have a purple pencil urchin and it MOWs through hair algae. He doesn't eat corals but he is getting big enough now that he is knocking things over. He was a hitchhiker and will ultimately have to go back to the fish store but he's been fun to watch for awhile.
