look at what you go me into...

ditto...you might have got a virus or intrusion WHILE on AC, but not FROM AC.

S'not very likely.

More likely it's one of those popups trying to sell you some antivirus package.

If it's the school's computer your school IT folks should take care of it for you.

theyll probly make me pay.

lol i love that pic. and your right, women = problems lol, thats exactly what i was thinking while typing the first post.

Kinda amazing that a computer can have 41 viruses and still function properly.

Unlikely you got it from AC, although Google AdSense does occasionally have it's problems with bad ads.

well like i said it is a mac with 2 operating systems. the one is probly screwed over, im now running the mac operating system with no issues, im not sure how though because it said that on the windows system that the harddrive and all my other files are infected. when i logged out of windows the computer was supposed to sync with home (school) but it didnt lol.

ill try later, because like someone said, it may just be one of them popups that tries to get you to buy antivirus software. i may go check out the windows side and see if i notice anything wrong because besides the sudden warning i never noticed anything wrong. the only reason i quit using it is because that antivirus thing started saying theres a spyware that steals passwords.

Most times you get a "virus" its actually a trojan.. Sometimes you can download a program that seems to work as it is supposed to, but it also contains coding to do other things. Trojans, and viruses can be downloaded in emails, and thrugh websites. It would be a very simple task to write a virus or trojan into simple HTML or java script that is run on most websites. Even an animated gif file can contain a trojan..

To say a mac doesnt get viruses is not exactly true, and I get really tired of hearing that, the fact is that more users online use Windows based PC's and it it the Windows OS that makes the computer venerable, no matter if it is a PC, or a MAC. Hackers havent really spent alot of time creating malware for the apple OS.. Probably because there arent alot of business based systems using them. and we all know that most malware out there is created to fight the man...

Anyway there are several ways to protect yourself from these programs, besides keeping your antivirus software up to date, you need to monitor your regestry, and watch for any unintentional changes.. watch for slowed computer speeds...

sometimes you will see returned email that may have bounced, and you didnt even send it. sometimes this can be a sign of a virus, but often times it is not. Spammers copy email adresses, and use them as return emails fro their crap, so they will send an email using your email as a return adress, and you will get all the replies, and failure notices.

41 viruses is alot, you shouldnt see that many if you are monitoring your system.. In this day and age we all need to be more careful.

i got a solution!!!!!!! GET A MAC! no virus, no spyware, or no virus or spyware protection even needed

IF you can afford it, IF you like to overpay for over-priced hardware, software, tech support and no games It might be a good idea.

But if you are into non-infectious computer, free software that can work and run windows and mac - go Linux!

what happend to me was weird, i was reading somthing on a site when all the sudden all these alarms from programs on my computer started spazing out telling me i had a bunch of viruses...
