After watching this thing for over a week on ebay, and hoping the bid wouldn't go too high, I finally won a Second Nature WDF 4000. :devil: These are wonderful filters and I just thought I would share my excitement!! Do you guys think I got a good deal on it?

They said they paid 53.99 USD. Not sure of the actual retail, tho!! I can email Tetra. They MAY know, but chances are they won't becuase it was discontinued in 1993. This one was made by Willinger Bros., not Tetra. Tetra does have some info on them, they said that it pumps 140 gph, which I don't really believe because it is rated from 29-65 gallons and has two filter chambers.

i dont know..... never had problems with my AC. they made them the same way for years and still make them.....

Should have been more specific, I meant the Whisper series filters. They still make the AC the same, and the Whisper for that matter, but Tetra recently changed the design of the impeller on the Whisper and made them less durable. I still have a SN Whisper that has had the same impeller since my grandma bought the filter in the late 80s.
