No matter what site you use, make sure it is a REPUTABLE breeder. Most REPUTABLE breeders don't use places like Kijiji and puppyfind to list their dogs...
When looking for a good breeder, join a forum devoted to the breed you want, they can point you in the direction of a breeder who follows a code of ethics, does necessary heath and temperament testing, and ect.
Or, if you're only looking for a pet quality dog, why not rescue? I have posted up for adoption everything form pure Bull Terriers to German Shepherds, American Bully's, American Bulldogs, Daschunds, Weimaraners, Dalmatians, Chihuahuas ect. ect. ect.
