Looking for a skimmer for a 20 gallon..

Puff puff pass man.. you are getting worked up over 1 little line on the internet. Take a deep breath and forget about it.

 :hypnotized: :grinyes:

=) not worked up its more of nipping it in the bud before it goes south.

I like it around here cause we don't see this type of line at all..its super rare.
I am only asking him politely to just not do it. And I have no problems with disagreement just do it politely ...at the same time teach me something.

He's still cool with me just a bit taken back by that line...its not common to have that directed at me in here.

NO cant puff must pass ..or lose job.

This thread's about skimmers lol
But anyways IMHO I have 2 opinions. A skimmer is not needed for that size of a tank as long as you do your weekly 10-15% water changes. Basically a nano-sized skimmer could remove as much poo and bad things in a few days as you could in one water change. If it makes you feel better about your tank to go ahead and get the skimmer, i say why not. Because while you aren't doing that 10-15% water change, your skimmer is running 24/7 and it is removing trace elements even if it may be the slightest bit, it still makes your tank that much more cleaner/healthier. Watch out for skimmers that release micro-bubbles though. I say go for it though if you have the money.

i apologize ToeJam, that obviously came off harsh. lets be buds

ANYWAAAAAAAAAAAAAY......

Would a more sound investment be an RO/DI unit?

I gather from my multiple forum posts that skimmers are a matter of opinion basically, and they arent 100% necessary with a good fuge and a good water change every week.
