I think I'm going to try a new design (well, I haven't seen it anywhere else) for DIY co2. Not really too much different except, I'll add another bottle.
Take the main line going from the fermenting bottle going into the tank; instead of going into the tank, feed it in next to the cap of the other (empty) bottle, and then have another tube going from that bottle into the tank.
So all in all, 2 bottles, the fermenting bottle connected to an empty bottle to catch any poisonous bubbles that might occur, and then another tube coming out of the empty bottle to feed into the aquarium.
Basically a way to do without a check-valve by adding another bottle as a safety net between your tank and the bubbles.
Think there are any dangers with this, or issues with something not working right? I don't see any except somehow the co2 might be a little less potent form traveling all that way?
