looking for filter foam supplier

i am looking for a mail order or online supplier of foam blocks or sheets for my diy filter system. The current micron cartridges of varying micron sizes get clogged to fast and aren't reusable/washable so i need to make cartridges out of foam but can't locate any in my area.
 
i called jehmco but they said they are out of stock and are looking for a new supplier so they don't know when they'll get any back in stock.

are there any other places to get it online or through mail order?
 
Not sure what size blocks you need, but the AC foam blocks at Big Al's are much cheaper than those I see in the LFS. Might be worth it--I don't know. I use them in favor of other types, simply because they are already close to the size I need.
 
you might be able to get large sheets of foam like that in the crafts section of a place like walmart? i know it is used for making some things like cheap padding in chairs. Its worth a try but you would have to make sure its safe.
 
when i called big als today to make an order of fish food i inquired whether they sold bulk foam and they did. i got a 5x3x15 block of it for around $5.
