Lost Fish

I ahve a 29 gal and we lost a Albino Tiger Barb this morning and it looks like one of our ottos isnt doing too good,
I tested some water params
Nitrites = 0ppm
Ammonia = 0ppm
pH = 8.3

is this pH too high? how do I decrease it?

It is NOT a planted tank, we have fake plants and a coconut house in there for the Kribs...

ph high but should be ok

Yes your ph is high more like what I have in my s.w. tank. Your fish should have adjusted to it though unless you had a sudden change. What symptoms did your fish show before it died?
