Lost my last Peacock Gudgeon

A tragedy. :(

I ordered SIX PGs from Mgamer, and lost ALL OF THEM within a week. It was a problem with my water well water. I've started adding activated carbon to my filters now. Since then, I've ordered two more pairs from a breeder. They seem to be doing okay, but the females are hiding and not eating (to my knowledge). I may separate out all fish except the gudgeons and cories to see if they come out more. Problem is, I don't have anywhere to put them...

I want PG eggs, darnit.

Me too! I'm going to put some narrow pvc pipe in the tank, which I've heard encourages breeding.

Plus, they be in with the baby guppies and cherry shrimp, both of which can be gudgeon snacks.

I got 4 from MGamer back a month or so ago. They never were hardy eaters of flakes. Would eat some frozen bloodworms but not with what I would call gusto. 3 of the 4 would hide alot. Sometimes so much so that I would be convinced they were dead somewhere. After reading a lot more found it is a common problem. It convinced me to buy some California Blackworms. I mainly wanted them for my Discus, but figured they would go for them too. WOW!! They attack them!! Start coming for them before I have my fingers out of the tank. It has really made a difference in their behavior and their coloring as well. Not nearly as much hiding.

Funny you should post that pic. Does that pic belong to someone named bhodgkiss? I think that's... That's who I buy my Peacocks from!
