So tonight i seen my new female Lemarii start to fight off other fish from a rock pile and i was curious so i lifted the stone and to my amazement i see about 100 eggs so yeah Love was in the water and she has already spawned yay babies..
I will let her fan the eggs for a little bit longer and then i will pull the rock and hatch the eggs in another setup..
Yep the eggs went whiteout man what a bummer but whats cool is that she has spawned and only been with this male for 2 weeks and popped out a hundred eggs cant wait to see what comes next from these two..
Thanks Razz, Efors and Ethan YAY FISH PORN ROCKS....
Lovely couple, Pitt. One eyed Willy is a lucky man to have found a new "love of his life", lol. They are awesome looking fish. What size are they, and what did you call them?
Thanks Mel yes he was in fishy lust heaven when i added her poor fella she is way more aggressive than him, They are Tanganyika ambush predators Lepidiolamprologus Lemarii they are about 6" cichlid forum says they reach 9" but i believe that info is wrong i think they max out at 7"
Thanks Star yeah he is blind in one eye due to a injury of fighting with another male from the breeder i got him from, he discounted him to me because the seller didnt want to sell him with a bum eye plus i like special fish the Nkambe are the same way i got them with bad eyes or blind in one eye due to aggression from injuries..
It is totally awesome to watch these fish hunt prey they stay motionless behind the THR and when prey gets up in the middle column of water they dart up and snatch..
On a good note i am trading 30 N. Multi's for a large male Nkambe tomorrow he is huge, plus i will still have plenty of Multi's left over..
