Love my dojo loaches!

FreshyFresh FreshyFresh , you could also try using gel superglue to fasten plants to structure, just need to do it out of the tank. No waiting time, can be submersed within minutes.

One word of advice... don't feed them floating pellets. And don't forget they love vegetables. Feed them under and above the water and we'll expect some videos soon ;)

So far I've fed them omega one sinking veggie rounds. They love those. They also happily skim the surface to gobble omega one tropical flakes and zoo-med spirulina flakes.

Poke your finger in just for a second and at least one or two of them come flying up to nibble on you.

Does this actually work? Does the plant stay attached to the wood long enough for roots to attach and secure the plant? I've read of people doing this but haven't been able to talk to someone who has actually done it. I've always tied the rhizome to plants with white 100% cotton string. But after a stroke, the onset of arthritis and just plain aging I either can't get the string tight enough or it's too tight and cuts into the rhizome.

That's weather loaches for ya, it is sometimes hard for me to vacuum their tank, they actually try and get the siphon out of my hand (they're ±10")

For sure on that. I did a 50% WC on their tank today and they were all over the gravel vac and trying to go up into it.

A while ago I wrote here in some topic that weather loaches were tamer as most pet rodents, and some members thought I was exaggerating. You think I was wrong for saying that ;) It's probably the only species of fish that actually enjoys kids playing with them.
I am pretty sure that if you give them a terrarium with a land part, they'd enjoy going on land too. In nature they've been known to travel over land. Non fish people think they're amphibians or even reptiles when they see them. They are as interactive as a fish as you can get.

Wyomingite Wyomingite , yes I've used it to fasten anubias sp. "nana' and Java fern to both rocks and damp driftwood. Must be the gel version, not the watery version.
