The male has a longer dorsal fin and a bigger set jaw. It's not easy to tell the difference unless you have a male and female side by side. I was lucky to get these two as a pair from LFS 3yrs ago.

Well, i got back today and "daddy" has an empty mouth and absolutely no sign of any babies. I'll keep a close eye on the tank but I have a feeling they may have been someones breakfast!!
