Hi guys, I am going to be moving this summer to a house that is "off the grid" we will have no electricity at first and then eventually what we can get from a wind generator and small generator. The inside temperatures will likely get below 60 degrees at night since this is Alaska and we will be heating with a coal stove. Does anyone know of a tank heater that could keep my tank warm enough to keep my tetras alive and healthy? How cold can tetras get? I have black skirts, serpe and some little ones with a blue back and red fins in a 29.
Or do I need to just get rid of the tetras and set up a tank with cold water fish like dollar sunfish? Actually I am planning to set up a tank like that anyhow but am looking for a way to also keep my tetras.
Thanks,
Josh
