Are there any / what would be a good (ie, fast or at least medium growth) carpet plant for a low light setup?

(It is also soft water in case that makes any difference.)

It's approximately 1.37w/g.

I've already tried dwarf hairgrass, it pretty much died, and microswords, they seem to be dying off.
So what else is there?

Thanks.

I don't want moss or java ferns for this, I want something with roots.

Marsilea sp. is a good choice. I have some Lilaeopsis Mauritiana but its still new and hasnt taken off yet.

And you can try Bacopa Australis (Creeping Bacopa)

forget the wpg, what kind of tank and light setup is it? I second marsilea although it is pretty slow growing, although if your tank isn't growing microsword/hairgrass then it may not grow much of anything else on the carpet either.

Another idea is java moss or flame moss, you'll need to anchor it for a while but it will eventually attach itself.

a 29g high with 2 T-12's
diy co2, flourish added weekly

one of the 3 dwarf sags is growing (other 2 died), just verrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy sloooowwwwwwwlllllllyyyyyy.
After 7 months it's starting to look kinda nice. I just ripped up the ones in the 10g that weren't growing and put them in here to see what they do.

With the moss, don't I have to take it out and rinse it? I'm not looking for a whole lot more maintenance than is already required.

it just depends on how much particulate it picks up. The moss in my shrimp tank stays clean, but theres a ton of little buggers cleaning it all the time.

If you aren't up to getting a new light fixture, maybe try to put a better reflector on the current one?
