Low light - how low is too low

I'm back to be indescisive once more, lol, don't shoot me. would 2pg be okay without Co2?(I'm trying to penny pinch a little bit on this tank, but if it comes right down to it i'll buy any other hagen system)

I'm looking at the 30in. ( 2 - 24" 20w lights) the same light I was looking at, just for 20long size.
here

I decided that since it's mainly shrimp, I'll get more floor space(my bamboo shrimp only climb somewhat and my vampire very little.) and do a 20g l., the light's only about 1$ more anyways.

edit: oh and dunga, how in the world do you keep cabomba in low light? I have some in my other tank(3.25 wpg) and anything thats not directly in bright light turns yellowish.

Hi,

I've tryed this tank with 2 watts per gallon and got some algae.
Tom Barr says that 2 w/g is the limit, but for me was too much.
My cabombas are going really fine. I'm using 2 grolux T12 ( 20 watts each).
Maybe this lamps are helping them ( and the other plants) to grow healthier.
I'm dosing Flourish , Flourish Iron and Excel.

regards

Dunga
