Low light Hygrophila Polysperma?

Is there anyone having success growing hygrophila polysperma in low-light conditions (1.4 or 1.5 watts per gallon)??

I'm looking for a taller, alternative plant for my setup besides java fern, crypts or anubias...

I don't know about hygrophilia polysperma, but my hygrophilia difformis has almost covered the back wall of my 30 gallon aquarium, at slightly less than 1.3 wpg.
 
Hi,
my 25 g tank is running at 1,6 watts per gallon , Excel only, and the plants are fine.
Rotala macranda aren't so red but it's ok for me.

Dunga-- Wow, I'm amazed that you're growing Rotala Macandra at such a low light level--Tropica.com describes the plant as needing high to very high lighting.

Hi,

at higher light levels, you can get more red plants, and the stems get closer, but for me, my macrandas are giving a nice look to the tank . they have to be trimmed monthly. I've learned some plant care reading Tom Barr's tips for low light non CO2 tanks. I'm very happy with the results.

I'm having great luck with it in my low-light tanks. It even does well in my 20 long with 1 WPG, although growth is very slow. It seems to be a very hardy plant and is quite tolerant of low light levels.
 
I guess I'm looking for tall-ish plants (maximum size 12" or so) that would work as a background in my 10 gallon (1.4 watts per gallon).

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.
