Low light inverts, suggestions?

Thanks for the input, I'll start with the mushrooms I think.

Should I start slow when first stocking my tank with inverts? Is it the same as with fishs? What should I watch for?

Thanks again!

As with the fish, I would wait until the live rock has finished curing in the tank (even "cured" will probably have some die off), and the parameters are where you want them.

With more delicate corals I would wait longer, but mushrooms can be added after the fish have been introduced and you're sure everything is OK.

Give the mushrooms a few days to settle in, and don't worry if they don't open fully at first.

Any info on how much illumination time/period I should have?
Should it be judged by the algea growth?
Is 10-12 hours a day too much?

Depends on your needs, but something approximating a normal 24 hour cycle in the tropics (12/12 light dark) seems best for many corals and some macroalgaes. It doesn't need to be exact, but more light allows more growth and many creatures only perfom important biological growth processes in the dark.

Other than light, any special care for mushrooms I should know about? Supplements?
