low light plants

In my opinion 20watts is too little light to support most plants available for aquariums. We usually go by the rule of thumb of 1-11/2 watts per gallon. These numbers will support what we call "low light" plants. So, for a 29 you'd need at the very least, 30 watts, with 40-60 being much better.

about the only thing you could sustain in there would be anubias...and they wouldn't be growing very much if at all.
Also, unfortunately the added height of a 29 enhances the light demands...Meaning the further away the light is from the substrate the more light you will need to sustain plants. The anubias idea is good, it will survive and grow really slowly and in my opinion is a very attractive plant...
You should take a ride to home depot and see if you can get a shop light that is small enough for your tank. You would got from that 20 watts to 80 if you get a light that holds 2 bulbs.(would be great for your tank.
