Here are a couple of examples of low light aquariums. The first pic is a friends 75g, 4 foot triple tube t-8 fixture. No ferts. Lights on 13hr a day. Light fish load. Planted with anubias, java fern, and crypts. It took about 2 years for the plants to fill in. The second is my 125g. 110w CF 9325k. 12 hrs a day. No ferts. Planted with anubias, java fern and moss, and crypts. I have a pretty heavy bio-load. I have 6 large clown loaches and they are pretty hard on the plants. Both tanks were set up using Flourite.

I'm a big fan of low/medium light low maintenance tanks. I'd like to see a detailed list of the plants in the first tank if thats at all possible. Seems there's more in there than on your list.

I will have to get the list....I think you are right though. I see some vals or some other grass like plant. I do know that the majority of the plants are anubias. There are probably 4 or 5 varieties. Quite a bit of jave fern and crypts as well.
 
Both tanks are very lovely. I have a 75g with the same light, looks like I need to get planting! I have some of those same plants but spread over more tanks. Time for a make over.

I think the long val-like plant is crypt. spiralis, I just got some, still a bit melty.

Could we have another shot of your big tank, it's hard to see the unlit part but it looks like plants there too? Cool loach tank, how big are they?
 
Very nice! Glad to see people succeeding with low light conditions / plants! Im more partial to the lower maintinance tanks myself too. I usually run about 2-3WPG, which has been great for low and medium light plants for me. Great job on the tanks!:clap:
 
Glad to this kind of success on low light with no fert. Now i know what to look forward to. thanks for the pics
