Hi I don't know the first thing about live plants but I would like to try planting my 46g bow. So I was wondering what would be some hardy low maintenance plant that grow like weeds and will fill up the tank well? Thanks.

1. Elodea densa
2, Java moss
3. Java ferns
4. Anubias
5. Cryptocoryne sp.
6. Hornworts
7. Hygrophilas
8. Pennyworts
9. Vallisnerias
10. Nymphaea sp.

I don't think that anubias and Java Moss grow like weeds, Lupin. But if you can get Anacharis, those grow like weeds in every type of light. They're even a pest in some places.

LMAO! I miss the part where he wants plants to grow like weeds. Thanks for pointing it out, David.;)

Thanks I think I'll stock up on some anacharis, java ferns, and Cryptocoryne sp. And hopefully work my way up from there. Thanks :)

One of the best weeds out there are the hygrophilas.....check them out.

OOOO thanks I'm getting excited now about trying real plants. All of the sudden I can't stand the look of the fake plants in my aquarium.

Brazilian Pennywort is my absolute favorite floater stem plant. It looks like lily pads on the surface of your aquarium.
