Low tech 75g stocking suggestion

Rafini, that's a really cool looking setup as is. Is this a 4ft 75g? The pic makes it look tall and not so wide.

I agree on a bunch of corys. I've got 7 panda corys in my 55g and 6 julii in my 29g. They're a family favorite for sure. I'd put a dozen of them in a 4ft, 75g footprint. How about an angel fish for a center piece? Your SAEs will be flying hotdog size if they're not already. I've got 2 in my 55g and originally started with 3, 3yrs ago. They are another family favorite given their personality and activity level.

As much as I love the look of kissing gourami, I've never kept one. A fella on another board I frequent has had one for 25yrs. It's big and so UGLY it's cute. It's aggressive too. They're not gentile on some plants and probably not the best choice for a planted tank.

Thanks guys, on your advice I pulled up the rosette plants a little and it does look better.
I picked up some carpet species and spaced them out an inch or two apart, aswell as a nice bushy microsorum pteropus windelov.

It is a 75g but its on the taller side, which is good as I bought it with a planted aquarium in mind, I already have a 4x2x2 20 gallon so I wanted a different 4ft footprint. I guess if the gourami becomes an issue I`ll move him but right now hes doing a great job rasping off algae.

I also picked up a few rainbowfish, a shoal of black neons and a couple of nerite snails.
A single angelfish would be okay? or would it be best to have maybe a trio?

And also I kept all of the tags from my purchases incase I ever have to ID my plants online, and the middle one is actually limnophila sessiliflora, not a cabomba.

looks like you are missing something in a larger size, maybe like a couple rainbow's

I get a weird lighting effect when I take pictures so I thought I would take one with just flash.
I can`t wait for the plants to fill out a little more and bush up, then I can move them around a little. you can see my terrible attempt at making a carpet. to be completely honest its my first planted aquarium and I imagine in a few months the transformation will be amazing.

I took a few pictures, I have no clue what kinds of rainbows I have besides the obvious Madagascar.

Some of the black neons, Really a big fan of these guys, the subtle black bodies really make the red eyes and white stripe pop.

anyway enough pictures

Second plant from the left looks like lace leaf Java Fern. You have it planted in the substrate. It needs to be attached to wood or stone, etc to grow properly. The rhizome buried in the substrate will kill the plant.

Sorry, not trying to be a nitpicker

I just got that plant the other day actually and have since found out that its a fancy kind of java fern and shouldnt be in the substrate. Maybe I should just rubber band it to some wood until it latches on.

Rubber band, string, even wedging it in a crevice will work until it takes hold. That's what I usually do because it's the easiest and I'm lazy.

Its on a piece of wood now sheltering underneath the hygro and Limnophilia, should be good considering javas are not lovers of intense light

Here's my guess on your Rainbows.

Picture 1 & 5....I have no idea. If this color is accurate, I've never seen a young Bow have this much color. Would really be curious to what it actually is.
Picture 2.....More than likely a young Melanotaenia Trifasciata
Goyder River
Picture 3...More than likely a young Melanotaenia Maccullochi
Pictures 4 & 6....Looks to me like a Glossolepis Dorityi. However, these are not widely available at local fish stores.

Where did you get them?
