I have a new camera and can't figure out how to turn the flash off. It is distracting I know, but that was the best I was able to do. I'll have to look for the manual and see if I can find out how to turn the flash off.
The low-growing plants at the front are Hygrophila polysperma (I think that's the correct ID at least). Along the left side and in the back right is Rotalla indica (in need of some trimming). The red plants are Alternathera (roseafolia I think?). Growing on the driftwood and rocks is Java fern Windelov, with some regular java on one rock that can't easily be seen in the picture. There is a red melon sword in there that is hidden by the Hygro at the moment (need to do some trimming there too). There is also Crypt wendtii red and Crypt lucens hidden in the jungle. Oh and also an Anubias species (left rear corner) that I haven't identified yet. I think that's about it.
As far as gravel vacuuming goes, I basically only skim the surface. There are a few spots where I go into the gravel a bit, but most of the tank just gets a "skimming".
