where in my tank should i put my live rock? do i put it close to the filter or further away from it? i have a 10 gal. so i would assume it doesnt matter i just wanted to know what you guys have found works best. thanks!

you can put it anyway you want as long as u dont have to move it to service equipment and there is flow all around and behind it if u build a wall out of it.
Agreed, just put it wherever you want it.
If you use a magnetic cleaner to clean algae off the glass, make sure you leave enough space for it to fit. Also creating caves, tunnels etc allows for water to flow between the rocks and gives animals a place to hide.
