M trumpet snails

If you have extras start selling them. I happily bought some for cheap online since I wanted them so much.

I'd pay shipping if you want to send the extras my way, I want to have enough to put in my dwarf Puffer tank but not lose them all right away.

Do these snails eat your plants? I want to get me some but I've had bad luck with pond snails...are M. Trumpets better?

I have not noticed any of my plants being eaten since I put the snails in there a couple of months ago.

About how many MTS do you want to put into your tank, in terms of either tank footprint or (probably even better) volume of substrate? I'm already finding that I have to be careful with my gravel vac and my plants have barely started to grow.

Trumpet Snails will quickly start breeeding. They seem to stay at a population your tank can support, i.e. if you overfeed you will likely have a lot of them.

In my experience anyways.

I was asking as when I looked on Aquabid people seem to sell (at a minimum) 50 of these things at a go, which seems like a huge amount. If I only want 10 or so in my tank, that's going to be a lot of decaying snail.

The batch I ordered on Aquabid was a batch of 15. If you keep looking you might see another like that.
