Pc all the way here... You can do anything on a pc, and when you have a problem, you dont need to replace the whole computer and you can easily upgrade it, not to mention how cheap pc's are.

MAC!!!!!!!!

ive had this macbook im typing on for 4 years, NOT ONE PROBLEM, fast as the day i opened the box!.... took a week to get used to the Operating system but its so much easier than PC,

my school laptop is a PC, ive had it since June, i only use it for typing in word. its slow as EVER, it literally takes about 7 minutes to start up and i cant stand it!!!

MACS DONT need virus or spyware protection, go on any site u want, nothing happens, no virus' or anything

MACS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! dont try and argue my opinion i know my stuff!!

PS. i have an iphone too so i loveeee apple :p

Argh....I accidentally voted PC...even though I use a Mac for everything at work.

Its this crummy pc laptop.

Glad to pay a bit extra for peace of mind here... Apple all the way.

i voted mac for several reasons
first some background. i have had a 1ghz 1gig ram powerbook running osx since ~2002
1) i like the OS better - i find it more stable, user friendly, and it does what i want, and it lasts. i always have some problem with my windows os, IMHO the windows OS has a 1/2 life similar to uranium

2) build quality (not talking electronic components, but the plastic pieces that comprise the computer)- every dell, hp, home built, etc pc i have had has needed its doors, screens, hinges. my powerbook never had a problem (it has been dropped, thrown, stepped on, spilt on etc....)

3) Build quality - my friend spilt 12 ounces of Natural Light all over my keyboard (which is right above the logic board (aka motherboard)) well....the thing still works...i have not heard so pleasant a story from my other friends that were in similar situations.

4) price - over time my mac is cheaper and still runs reliably (you can do the math below to see what i spent less money on)
$1300 powerbook (i think thats what i paid for it) used since 2002 - no problems no need to upgrade.
$500 dell lasted 2 years before parts fried
$700 hp lasted 3 years (screen broke)
$300 home built is on 3 years....

4)It Just Works.

I'm a Mac man.

i grew up using mac but not use PC but thats because i mess around with inards of my computers that PC was just the logical conclusion for now at least. i also use it as a gaming rig so mac are out the window for that (though thay are getting beter). this is not to say i don't use other systems i do duel boot with Linux on this machine and would have a copy of leopard on here if it was an intell chip set.

in the end though i don't think there is one OS that is better than others. Mac's can get viruses but there are so few out there that where written for them that is unlikely to happen. thay also can be a pain to fix if anything with the hard ware goes wrong (same with Ipods). Windows what most people have so most viruses are written for them but this should not be an issue if you have good protection on the system. Microsoft though is notorious for being an evil corporation and i hate how thay built aspects of windows. Linux is free which is good and there are alot of user friendly versons of it out now. but can be intimidating and is defiantly a do it your self system.

P.S. i have an Ipod touch and planing on getting an Iphone, love the thing.
