I posted some of these with a question in general, but I thought I'd add my snail macro study here along with the rest of them.

These are our new additions. Tank is new 29 gallon (cycled for 6 weeks) and these are the first inhabitants.

1 new german blue ram (added male and female but only the male posed for me)
cardinal tetras
1 mystery snail with some erosion and algae. He may be in bad shape, but I still think he's beautiful.

I'm not worried about the algae on the glass. It's going to be a nummy snack for the nerites that are coming this week.

Great macro shots - what camera and lens are you using for those?

Nikon d3 with sigma 150 2.8 macro. The macro is the only "off brand" lens that I own but it works!

I'm a photog in my "day job". :D

The snail doesn't look bad at all, pretty typical for a full size guy. You can use a new soft toothbrush on his shell if you like to remove the algae. Great shots!
