Madagascar Lace Plant????

Okay in my shrimp tank I have a MLP and it looks to be slowly dying and I want to change that, I think it is my PH being 7.4 and it not being out of the shade, so I moved it right inder the light, It has really nice roots, and is in plant substrate. also I have a really, really, crappy filter. that is soon going to be changed, to a penguin bio wheel 150, becaus, well the other one just plain sucks. Also I heard they can suffocate from floating detritus, is this true?

All I can tell you is that mine is doing good in these conditions:

7.8 ph
30g tupperware container
28w CFL Spiral 6,500k
sponge filter and 170 hob
hundreds of rossy reds

That said, that environment isn't ideal, but it seems to be getting bigger and fuller by the month

oh I'm also dosing kent plant pro, and kent freshwater plant, both are working great. I think havng it under a internal filter did't help its light cathcing abilities and it was browning ou so now its back in the center, though it kinda block the veiw so I might move it to the right of the tank.
