Made the switch to pressurised today

Finally got all the gear together and hook up, I'm going to have a party throwing away bottles lids, and tubing sections. I might even start a bonfire!!!!

O.K. it wasn't that bad I guess. I did the DIY to see if I wanted to mess with Co2 at all and I guess I'm hooked for now at least. I will say the DIY showed me what I wanted to know, but aside from that I found it to be a huge PITA!!!!. I "found" a free co2 bottle, a "free" regulator. and then splurged on what appears to be a really good manifold with bubblecounter check valve and needle valve all together. All tanks are now on pressureized,
No more bottle to mix, fluctuating levels, or sugar spilled on my desk yippeeee!!!!!

BTW, I found a pretty decent gas/welding supply house in hilliard, they had several hard to find fittings and adapters I needed, and can get anything you want pretty quicky if they don't have it on the shelf. The name of the place is Valley gas, and they're on sutphin court just off cemetary rd. Let me know if you need directions. It sure beat driving down to valley veiw or over to goodale. I didn't ask them about refilling Co2, but I'm sure they do it they had a bunch of inert gas equipment on hand.

I ended up buying my tank at Geer Gas for $55 filled since Valley Gas wanted $95, although it was a new tank. Valley Gas do a refill for $15 and Geer Gas will refill for $10 but I'll pay the extra five bucks to avoid going downtown.

My tank is only a five pounder. I wasn't sure if the ten pound tank would fit in my cabinet. Wish I'd took measurements before I rushed out.

I was so tempted to buy some helium as well. I could have a lot of fun with that stuff but I'm easily amused
