just getting on for a sec to vote for my number one suspect. i vote to lynch hi iq. this is subject to change if i see something more vote worthy. ill put in a a coupld of thoughts on other players also
wizard- i agree that with the context of that post that "we" is saying your scum. whether or not it was a slip or not depends if how gramatically correct you are. other than that i havent really noticed anything that stuck out from you.
jb- leaning innocent, seems pretty pro town.
driver- has a big attitude and not helping the town at all, but why would you be that obvious?
fozzy- leaning innocent, playing like a new player (i hate the word noob, sounds offensive).
zaffy- gone by without much to say. i almost forgot to mention him.

Wow, this is a little aggro isn't it? I've posted on every game day, explained my votes, answered the questions I've been asked to the best of my ability and now that I've noticed something that nobody else has talked about you start accusing me of noobishness? "I thought you said you had followed a lot of these games." the fact of the matter is that grammatically "Maybe the scum are pleased with the vote count? We do have a tendency to take ourselves out." odoes directly infer that the "we" (pronoun) refers to the "scum" (antecedent) since there are no other nouns between them. Now, we can talk all we want about me being new and having not blabbered on about things I didn't have an opinion about yesterday, or we can talk about what I have an opinion about today, you called yourself scum, now you are awe-full defensive about it and attacking my experience in the game despite the fact that I did notice something that makes total logical and grammatical sense, (I can't stop thinking of the phrase Ad Hominem, isn't that a type of logical fallacy?) I would say that the burden of proof is on you.

I haven't gone back through the game yet so I am not going to post much this morning. I did, however, want to address this.

First and foremost, I have lived coast to coast and border to border in the USofA and in common speech, grammatical correctness (while the textbooks have a stead fast rule which is based on Formal speech) is contingent on where you are. One word can have several meanings based solely on geographical location.

You want to say how you haven't blabbed about things that you didn't have an opinion on. If I remember correctly, until after G flip innocent you didn't have an opinion on anything. Then all of a sudden you have an opinion about a day one post that while not written out to pass muster for an English teacher, it was obvious what was meant by the statement.

Someone working for the town would have asked what was meant by the statement if they truly thought it meant something else or as you put it, was a "slip".

The following post, reads to me as if you were trying to paint a target on me. I can understand that if you are scum. I am one of the few left in the game that will be vocal and do the work involved to pull posts and dig through to find scum. That does make me dangerous to the scum team.

Nobody has brought this up yet...just some food for thought while reading through this whole thing. I'm going to be looking very hard at wiz this round. Is there any reason you referred to the scum as "we"?

Just waking up for the morning and trying to get my head squared away. I'll put out some thoughts on everyone in an attempt to figure out my next move.

[AC] Driver8 -- I'm 90% sure Driver has to be scum. I've posted my reasons for that.
JB -- helluva guy. super smart and handsome too.
[AC] HI IQ -- IQ was the suspect I mentioned late last night that I hadn't talked about before. While I find some of his posts a little suspect, most of them have been quoted and questioned to death. I went back through this morning and tbh, I'm just not getting an overwhelming scum vibe from him. Added to which I think I know who IQ is which tends to support that feeling.
Zaffy -- I've seen Zaffy skate as scum before. I'm still not settled, but Zaffy is definitely a suspect.
Wiz -- I've made my suspicion on Wiz known. And I still think there's a good chance he's scum. I just don't have solid evidence to that fact.
Fozzy -- Fozzy is interesting to me. Definitely still a suspect
AAF -- actually, I'm pretty happy to lean AAF innocent. And let me say on a personal note that you're playing very well, dude =)

So I guess the next step is to look at Zaffy more closely.

I'm inclined to agree that it appears O3T has slipped.

Zaffy's vote on O3T. Here I would expect some smart-assery from Zaffy about scummy pants or tinfoil hats or some other such hillarity. This is a very straight forward post.

I voted aaf because the video he posted was not an irish drinking song, and was not good. As the day went on I found no reason to switch. As far as AAF's voting claim that he voted the post above his, I think he's telling the truth. It's completely possible that he clicked on the thread and was on the fianl page before whoever the next one to post is. At that point he would see Dawg as the final post. As of right now I think anyone who is continuing that line of questioning towards AAF is blowing smoke.

I did find it strange that Dawg switched his vote. I can see where he might think a tie is better than otherwise, in these games we've discussed the merits and shortcomings to death. I think Dawg is a better player than to try that as a method to protect a teammate on day 1. So I will nearly fully dismiss that possibility.

This post is interesting in that Zaffy switches to a -sort of- defense of AAF. The second paragraph seems to all but clear Dawg of any wrong doing. At this point, we did not yet know that Dawg was innocent.

Looking at how the votes lined up, Zaffy was right in the middle of the voting for O3T. Not only was his vote post nothing like I would expect, but he's lined up right where a good scum buddy would be: at the point where O3T obviously became a lost cause.

I wasn't feeling very good yesterday. I'm going to catch up today.

It always bugs me when people say things like this then don't follow through.

First off, I apologize if this doesn't make any sense. I'm very tired, slightly medicated, and in pain so my mind isn't completely on this task right now.

Towards the end of last night I got the impression that LG was attempting to peel votes off of O3T. She says she wanted to see if something would happen, like a play from the scum team to try and save him. That's plausible, but when the vote count is everybody to one I think it's a low percentage play.

As far as the exchange between LG and kash. What strikes me is that LG's replies seem to be ad hominem attacks rather than responses to the point made. Sure, Kash is very good at appearing to be pro-town no matter which side she's on. JB found some things from Kash's posts to poke at, but LG seems instead to have responded to Kash's reputation instead.

As Jb pointed out, Kash's clearing of Me, Fozzy, and aaf does bug me. I know that I'm a townie, but to clear someone by day 3 is a bit off to me. Her explanation is good but I'd say it's at minimum a little early to start clearing people.

Now, the only real suspect that Zaffy goes after is LG. We all know how that one turned out. Also, Zaffy says that it's a bit early to clear anyone and Kash doing so bugs him. Didn't we just see where Zaffy all but cleared Dawg on day 2? This seems really odd to me.

This post by Driver bugs the heck out of me. So I wanted to bring it up.



Yes, it was a slow day. there were still 200 posts to find something in though, and Dawg had in fact done just that. You seem to be saying that everyone is just coasting along and voting O3T because everyone was voting him/her. Then you hop on the bandwagon because that's what everyone does. It's like you're condemning everyone for jumping on the bandwagon, but then you do it yourself. It's a useless post full of contradiction and angst.

The rest of what you bring to the thread isn't much better.

Makes me think you're just frustrated scum, can you confirm or deny?

This post is one of the few things that are a real sticking point for me on Zaffy. I also suspect Driver, and this is a really good point in terms of pushing Driver up the suspect list. The other side of it is that Driver has gotten a lot of heat for not posting much. This post could be distancing in anticipation of Driver getting lynched and flipping scum. Then Zaff could come back later and say "see... i pointed out the scum on his pants early on".

I think there's a chance either one of you is scum. I'm leaning the chance is greater that you're are scum because of your arguments.

This post is subtle, but saying "there's a chance either one of you is scum" is also leaving the possibility that either one is innocent. Whereas we saw Wiz take the "I know you're scum" route in grilling LG, Zaffy is a bit more open to the possibility that he's wrong. Which seems townie, but also leaves an opening to come back later and say "awwww... darn... see I was wrong after all" if questioned about his vote.

This was to LG. This is the second time Zaffy has said this. The first was to me. It seems strange to me that Zaffy is begging to be questioned while at the same time not giving the town much to go on to look for questions. The way I read this post now, it almost seems like a dare. As in: "Go ahead, try and find something to question me about."

This puts JB on the townie side of my book. He called O3T out before anyone else did.

Here's the snarky Zaffy that I would expect.

I've had one good game as scum. The RR game from a loooong time ago. The way I survived that game was to play the fence. Not really go after anyone, not really defending anyone, not really saying anything substantial at all. Basically, I survived that game as scum by playing exactly how Zaffy is playing this game. And as I've said, and LG confirmed earlier, Zaffy has skated through as scum before.

If I had to vote now, it would either be driver or Zaffy. Not sure which way it would go.

I've got to work a 20 hour overnight shift tonigt. I'll be on as much as possible, but it all depends on the status of the looney bin. I'd really like to see some participation from all townies. This is the point where we need to unify and be vocal.

So Wiz... this post seems to paint scum on Fozzy without coming out and saying it. For a guy who's been on and on about being direct, there's an awful lot of ambiguity here. Care to take a stand on Fozzy? Confused newbie or Scum? Any thoughts?

You've mistaken a dismissal of an argument for a defense. What I actually wrote here is that I didn't find any traction in the argument that AAF intentionally lied about who he was going to vote for. There was a perfectly good explanation for why AAF's vote landed where it did rather than we O3T and others 'expected' it to. It followed a realistic timeline and made sense.

My vote came at 3:56pm pst. I leave work at roughly 3:20. That was enough time for me to get home, check the thread and make a post. You want to fight about it? Interestingly enough, your vote and my vote were very similarly worded. I could expect from you some smart-assery-pants too.

The dialogue of the day was dominated by Kash and LG going at eachother. I haven't been in the mindset to be as involved as you or they have been. I'm certainly not alone in that.

Driver has been useless the entire game. Not a single useful post. Just antagonism, it's like a child having a tantrum. I think this game would be better without players like Driver. If he doesn't change soon I'd love to see a mod kill.

That's a chance we all take everytime we vote. I really thought LG was scum because she was making bad arguments. It seemed like she just wanted Kashta to be lynched and the reason didn't matter. I also thought that LG had tried to pull votes off of O3T the night before. She admitted that she was trying to see if anyone would budge, I didn't think she was being sincere. That was my mistake.

JB -- Has been highly active but also has a cleanish voting record, largely attacking scum or at least the same things I'd attack, must be pretty handsome too :rofl:

AAF - Frankly, no idea whatsoever. I feel like he's innocent for some reason, and frankly I'd be shocked if he was scum but it'd be just like my foot-eating-face to have wiz be saint patrick and AAF the evil lep.
