Mafia 105: Finding Bigfoot The Game!

It may 'extend D1', but not all of D1 is pointless stuff. Granted, a lot of it is, but as it gets closer to nightfall, more 'real' content occurs. Lynch or not, people will start shifting to real content, and I personally would rather see more of this before making a decision who to remove from the game. With these rules, that is impossible, so I'd like to put a vote on someone who appeared like they will UD, so they will not be contributing to the game.
And yes, we do have better odds, but we still don't have a huge amount of townies, and I'm not content with these blind votes.

Don't get me wrong, I am still happy about last night's events, but the thing is, the town didn't make it a good nightfall. The one we should thank is bigfoot. :grinyes:

The concept of voting UDs has been discussed in the past in great detail. I've never seen a compelling argument for why the town should take that route on any day. The biggest shift to "real content" occurs when there are legitimate votes to be analyzed. Without that it's still D1 no matter how you look at it and blind votes would continue to happen.

First of all, I am happy that Rich is gone. I just didn't like it how Rich voted me, and it then was killed by Bigfoot. It could have been a frame. (i.e. "Rich voted Pir and then Rich got killed by bigfoot, so Pir must be Bigfoot.") Not too likely, but hey, I've seen longer stretches.

So you're trying to imply that bigfoot set you up? That's a rather improbable scenario given how they have no idea if you are on their side or not. In fact, the only way bigfoot can play their role right now is by taking shots in the dark and hoping the odds do work in their favor. To suggest there was any strategic foresight in their hit choice is just incorrect.

But I was the first person to have more than one vote.

Shortly after I had the 2nd vote on me, putting me in the lead, 2 people voted DD, putting her in the lead. Again, could be a total coincidence, and I'm not accusing you of anything, just putting it out there.

Yeah and there were a good 5 votes or so that could have been placed anywhere. And I don't think anyone could argue that what DD posted didn't at least look suspicious, even though some chose not to vote there. In addition, very rarely does anyone, when scum, decide to all pile on the same person (especially so early) just to make another look bad. If you're innocent then why wouldn't they just let you go? It's just a WIFOM scenario that doesn't seem to be anything but a big coincidence.

The fact that you are just "putting it out there" is what concerns me. You have not one, but two scenarios that all revolve around you being framed which is a subtle way of basically saying "I'm innocent."

Except I only mentioned that might happen during d1 and didn't even say anyone would sit back and hide. Just that many (could be PR and might not be) wouldn't want to pounce on anyone early because before first nightfall no one has anything to go on and even looking a little suspicious can get you voted out. It just happened with DD. And I didn't sit back and blow smoke around and joke around... I disappeared and almost UD'd.

I'll just end it there. I was only saying that it's possible to act like a role, and that you (if coincidentally) sort of acted to a standard that you set.

I'm not jumping on you. I specifically explained that you have a history of acting suspicious when you are innocent. It's also barely into the game. There isn't much of anything that screams scum and usually never is this early unless someone has a big slip up. That's why people focus on you this early. Hell I've jumped on the AAF bandwagon early in the game at least once. The only thing that has really kept me from honing in and really digging is the fact that you have this history so that's definitely helping you. My vote is definitely tentative. I just don't want to end up on the UD coin flip again if I get hung up like before

I'm looking pretty hard to find other things that stick out at me so while we're on the subject, is there anything that screams scum to you? Maybe you can open my eyes to something I missed.

Can someone elaborate on this? I only ask because I'm even nervous about role playing my role in case someone sees it as role claiming (the line about the mod deciding what role claiming is). It might be because I haven't played more than 1 or 2 games where it isn't allowed so I guess I'm worried about what too far is and what is acceptable.

That was just a general question.

Anyway... so far all that is standing out to me is AAF but the past couple games he stood out, was voted out early (iirc), and ended up being innocent. Maybe he just naturally looks suspicious.

As of right now

I vote to lynch AAF

But it may change. My brain was discombobulated when I found out I could still play and I was still trying to get my bearings back while trying to understand why.

We can just agree to disagree, then. Either way, we are now in Day 2, and the real votes will now start occurring whether they already have or not.

I'm trying to imply that bigfoot could have set me up. It would be a pretty dumb move, and it could go in a WIFOM circle around and around and around, but it could have happened. And how do you know 100% for sure about any strategic insight of their hit? 99% that it was not, but hey, there's some human (well, bigfoot) element to it.

When I talk about the votes on DD, I mean this: If the lead vote was on bigfoot, they could shift the vote to keep it off of bigfoot. That sort of happened to me, and it sort of looked like I was being made to look like bigfoot whose hippies had just saved his furry behind. Unlikely, but again, not impossible.

I presented two scenarios, definitely not direct accusations or anything like that that could have happened, and they happened to both be revolved around me. Maybe I'm paranoid and overshooting on it.

Pir I thought no one knew Bigfoot's identity and Bigfoot wasn't communicating with anyone. Doesn't that make it impossible for the set-up scenario you described to occur?

I wasn't sure if some votes had more gravity so I wanted a definite choice on the lynch by putting on a second vote on one of the singles. I chose Pir because he avatar really creeps my out.

The nightfall was pretty good. Neph shouldnt have ud'd and it wouldve been better if we wouldve lynched scum but its day 1. Great night for day 1.

Bigfoot's trying to pick innocents to kill. Pretty hard to make that decision when they have no idea who is who and EVERYONE in the game is trying to play like an innocent. Why you and not someone else? To suggest that they are setting anyone up is pure speculation.

Your conspiracy about the hippies trying to frame you as bigfoot would have much more meat to it had DD not come out on her own accord and placed one of the weirdest votes I've ever seen.

I mostly latched onto your and Ice's observations of the recap and not putting much stock into D1. It isn't much so I'm not really trying to pull everyone on board. I keep searching through previous posts because something is itching me here and I can't figure out what it is. I feel like I'm missing something with someone
