Mafia 106: Pokemafia

After the previous electrifying event of the evening, Zaffy takes a shortcut through a dark alley to get to his home. After a quick double take to make sure nobody is watching, he lets his rare Pokemon, Mew, out of its Pokeball. Little to his knowledge, Team Rocket is watching through an impossibly stable pair of binoculars. Jesse’s eyes light up at the site of Mew and she has James contact Giovanni. Greeted with the news of a rare and powerful Pokemon, Giovanni orders the duo to catch it at all costs. They attack Zaffy in an oddly unrealistic dust cloud with the odd arm popping out, and when the scene clears, Jesse and James have Mew and Zaffy is laying on the ground. Unfortunately for Zaffy, a Snorlax is sleeping on the roof of the building on the side of the alley, and its sleep is disturbed by all the commotion. It grunts and rolls over, and the momentum from its weight gets it rolling down the sloped roof. The Snorlax lands on Zaffy, crushing him. Out of Zaffy’s backpack roll a red wig, a sexy nurse outfit, and a girdle with padding in certain areas for a more feminine figure. Unfortunately, Zaffy stayed out of drag tonight and instead lent his stylish, figure flattering body armor to someone else for the night.

Zaffy was Nurse Joy.

I've got to make my money some how...

Go get em town.

And what I find suspicious is that you say I'm "on the ball" but then don't join in on the questioning. Compliments for the sake of compliments make me uneasy in the game of mafia.

I don't exactly understand Coler's position on you either though, so a clarification from him seems appropriate.

I didn't join in because there was no merit to the question (not saying you shouldn't have asked. There was nothing else going on). None that would offer anything solid this early anyway but that doesn't change the fact that you picked up on it and I skimmed right over it and I commended you on it but I feel ya on wondering about a compliment in mafia. If experience has taught us anything it's that I don't think of the effects of my posts when I find something insignificant (like making a post about you being on the ball) and don't realize how much importance will be placed on it with everyone looking for any sign of anything.

Sucks to lose 2 good guys on D1.

Can anyone elaborate on why the joke and "random" votes are so bothersome d1? I do get what you're saying pap about voting for the next poster and that it absolves someone of blame but I doubt anyone who has does that really plans that far ahead (maybe that's me underestimating though). My thoughts (and I've vocalized something like this in a previous game) is that the odds are simply against us the first lynch (which is evident to everyone). There's nothing to go on except picking apart very shaky things like a compliment, not understanding a rule, or a light hearted comment and it's almost never scum that gets lynched d1 so I want to be as far away from responsible as I can be from the lynch no matter what team I'm playing on for multiple reasons not least of which is lynching someone that would've helped me weed the scum out.

I just don't get what the difference is between voting for someone because of their avatar or voting for someone because of their vote or the way they went about it (strictly relating to D1).

Oh and this isn't to call anyone out. I just want a clearer understanding of the hostility against it.

I can see why the AAF vote was bothersome to some. It has been discussed in the past. It is not a truely random way to vote. Knowing that certain people are posting when you put that post out about voting the next person, narrows the field. It also give less accountability because one can say I just voted the next person who posted. My vote was a joke vote. As were others which is typical for D1. The difference is that I chose Zaffy. In AAF's case you could say that Coler chose AAF's vote.
