Mafia 106: Pokemafia

I don't even know how to respond to this... well, actually, I'll try this: Are you kidding with me? That entire post and you have nothing to say except in defending yourself and your choices? No comments on my thoughts about others? Not even an attempt at using google or the links I provided to confirm/deny my thoughts? Did I perchance say something dangerous to you?

FF, chill down dude.

First off, I read your entire post and tried to make sense of it. The first part of it was based off the opinion that AAF was voted out because of his joke. He wasn't and I've already made that clear.

To be honest, nothing about your comments on others strikes me as noteworthy. I've already questioned Coler about his interaction with Neph. Your other comments were talking about why certain people weren't questioned, which is almost comical given your absence for most of D1, but it really doesn't point to anything concrete enough for me to give it much thought at the moment.

I understand you received the clue and I realize the implications, but I don't exactly have the time to read up on the Pokemon. I'll take your word that the one is James' and that may be a reference there. The drunkenness aspect could be a clue, but it's hardly explicit how I read it. I agree that it could point to Coler as being James, but I'm not going to vote that way simply because that is your interpretation of the clue. It's just too much of getting into the mod's head to be comfortable to me. I'm already suspicious of Coler as it is and if I do vote for him it wont be for this reason alone. We should always be careful not to let mod hints steer us in the wrong directions either.

'Kay see what I did was throw out a question to Neph and give a bit of feedback on my thought processes during the day. Its what you do when you want to win for the town.
Coler, I'm not sure what this is getting at here.

For probably the fourth or fifth time (FF's keeping track for me) I'll mention that I didn't like Neph cuddling up to me, but I could understand it just being an odd-timed compliment. So I do get why you may have been suspicious of him cozy-ing up to me, or however you put it.

But what I still don't understand was your suggestion that Neph turned my statement into something it wasn't. Neph did vocalize the reason for why I initially asked AAF the question. On one hand, I never came out and defended Neph's comment but when I did return to state why I questioned AAF it seemed pretty obvious that Neph caught on to what I was getting at.

To me, it looks like you are the one twisting this whole thing out of proportion.

I am not going to take FF's word that a drunk bird with a limited vocabulary some how points to Coler. I could see him as scum based on the AAF votes. I also see Pap who is really posting quite defensively over the same thing. Then we have Dawg saying the little hint to FF, which we do not know if it is true or not some how points to Coler as well. I need to think on all of this a bit.

'Morning all.

Not enthused by Dawg's vote for me. I'd just ask anyone considering it to read the thread - its really not that long - and form your own view on whether I am playing for the town or not.

I am not going to take FF's word that a drunk bird with a limited vocabulary some how points to Coler. I could see him as scum based on the AAF votes. Well...thing is rich, we know there was a Private Message yesterday, and inasmuch as FF has claimed to receive it, no one else has claimed otherwise so going by normal logic in a mafia game FF claim should be taken as true at face value, so I am inclined to run with it on that level.

Regarding the interpretation of it, I confess I'm a bit lost, but FF does appear to know something about Pokemon. I am inclined to note that Dawg -was also one of those picked out as a possible suspect based on that interpretation (whether its right or wrong) and has very quickly proceeded to note me, but I'm a long way off settling on my own vote tonight.

I'm off to work - will be back on thread in perhaps 9 hours or so.

Quick post regarding how I see people currently :-

Metricliman - quiet. I appreciate new player but still quiet. Really just the one post of substance. New players can be legitimately quiet and this has been a quiet game so I'm not anxious to read too much into their lack of posting but it is certainly their dominant characteristic.

Dirtydawg10 - Objectively (I am conscious that they are voting for me) I am little confused by them. I would go so far as to say there are some inconsistencies - for instance if his theory that in a tie on D1 between scum and innocent the mod will resolve in the scum's favour 9/10 is correct, then it makes no sense to say that pappy is scum for voting for AAF versus me, in that scum would more likely take those odds versus running a risky save. I don't go so far as to say a case can be made against Dawg but I think their logic is flawed. Equally in terms of stats, it is more likely than not that two innocents ended up on the chopping block last night, as was the case.

JPappy789 - With that said (see above re pappy's vote) it gives me no comfort as to pappy's innocence that he effectively saved me from a tie with AAF. Pappy is a skilled enough player who was played with me plenty of times so as to be able to fool me as regards his status. I'd hope that later this evening after work I can re-read jpappy's posts.

Zaffy - Dead, proven innocent.

Nepherael - I tend to see their posting as flavoured with innocence, is about as strong as I can put it at this point in time. I see them as generally contributing, and responding to queries etc. which is usually a pro-town stance as far as I am concerned. I'm not saying they are innocent, I'm saying they appear more likely to be innocent relative to others.

Rich311k - I don't have a read on them one way or the other. Similarly I hope to re-read their posting after work.

Allaboutfish - Dead, innocent.

Fishfriend1 - I believe is probably innocent on the current state of play.

In summary I tend to lean Neph innocent, I also think FF is more likely to be innocent than not. This leaves me with jpappy, dawg, rich and metricliman, from which 3 of 4 are the most likely in my view to be playing for scum. In passing I would note that of those 4 there is not a whole lot to go on in respect of rich and I have almost nothing to go on in respect of Metricliman.

I'm leaving the office now and will get back on the thread in maybe 4 or 5 hours, certainly before nightfall.

We do not know what FF is so how do we know it is really what was said. You also can not trust what is then interpreted by FF.

I also do not fathom the trust that Dawg is putting on it. I do not see it as a reason to vote for Coler.

I see Pap being the kill vote yesterday, based on little and his seemingly active defense of it, way too much if it was just a best I saw vote.

I vote to lynch pap

Still need votes from:

JPappy789
Coler

5.25 hours until nightfall!

Guys, there is a slight chance that nightfall could be a few minutes late. It should be on time but I figured that a heads up would be appreciated, just in case.

Team Rocket Members (scum):
The amount of scum will be as close to 25% withoutgoing over as the total amount of players (8-11 players-2 scum, 12-15 players-3scum, 16-19 players-4 scum, etc.). They will have a QuickTopic page tocommunicate, but hits must be sent via PM. They get a hit every night, but theycan switch it for an investigation. Once their numbers are cut in half (orless) from the original amount (Started with 3, now have 1), they can switchtheir hit that night for a turn. 3 names will be provided to me. If there is 1or more non-PR, they will be randomly selected and possibly* turned, or die. Ifall 3 names are PRs, one will be randomly selected and die. If a player diesfrom it, the turn can be re-attempted the next night and on. Out of the 3original players selected, only 1 can be in the 2
[SUP]nd[/SUP] list. This action is not a guarantee. Depending on the circumstances, the rule willpossibly be revoked for game reasons. Inquiries can be sent through PM or inthe scum message board.

You may not role claim as a scum, but false roleclaims are OK.

Guys, I just noticed this.
The '*' is that there is a 75% chance of the turn occurring.

Well, it seems the two people who my hint could have been referencing have both decided that my hint is valid... thanks for making it harder to choose which of you I'll vote lol. I vote to lynch DirtyDawg.

Dawg, unlike Coler, knows of my tendency to, you know, screw up as the eternal noob. The fact that he would take my interpretation so swiftly even knowing this, even going to far as to vote for Coler, worries me greatly. That, combined with him being a suspect of mine already because of both the hint and his lack of input day 1 (though he was there day 1, he was talkin about beer) has caused my vote on him. I may not be able to get back before nightfall, which is why I am voting now.

Once again Pappy, I do suggest you read up on the links, it's about the same amount of information as was in Colers two posts today. Not that hard to do I think.

Mystery Gift: Everyother nightfall (1, 3, 5...), a randomly selected non-PR will be approached bya Delibird bearing a gift. The gift will be randomly selected. The gift couldbe a vague hint about a member of the opposing team, a self-protection for thenext night, or a hit that you can save for when you want. (Hint-6/10,Protect-3/10, Hit-1/10)

Pir, can you please clarify for us what a "non-PR" is for this game? Does this mystery gift exclude just the townie PR's or mafia as well?
