so why is brains posting here, if there is no brains character in the rules?

this is incredibly confusing..

Brains is Weezer. It is confusing and I have no clue why the secrecy, but I agree that it's only been confusing. No characters this game, you are either a townie or mafia.

You are right, any townie is a big loss. But the game cannot be won for four days no matter what happens.

I never said that Z was innocent... be careful putting words in other peoples mouths (that's a mafia thing).

I said that I believe that I can tell when he is playing innocent and playing mafia. My statement about Ice was made at the time when there were already two votes for Ice.

As soon as I made that post, charlie left Ice and went to CCM.

Look, the mafia types at this point aren't stupid. They know this. I'm just putting them on notice that it won't work.

At this point we have 8 voters and 7 votees... the town has got to get together. Sure tonight is partially random, but it's a 50/50 shot.

I won't vote now, mainly because we haven't even heard from everyone.

Perhaps Weezer is just keeping in spirit w/the anonymous character of Brains2. Perhaps RB told him not to reveal who he is so he had to deny making that post and while doing so he throws some suspicion on Ice for good measure or for fun. Would a Townie do that though? Perhaps if Brains really thought Ice was scummy, but Ice wasn't even suspicious of him and even said that he thought the ppl voting Brains might be Mafia. So I too am back and forth on Brains being Mafia or not. Brains keeps alluding that there are others that he finds suspicious or something, but hasn't really named anyone besides Ice. I would like to hear from Brains about those people before I vote. There are other players after all, so I will vote early tomorrow on who I feel is the most Scummy.

Less than 40 posts and charlie has already switched votes once... hey, I only have so much room in the spreadsheet.

The most suspicious thing so far is... Ice. 50/50 shot sounds good to me.

Zsand, I'm not worried about, I think I can tell when he's mafia. Ice, isn't so hot as a townie, so no huge loss

BTW: I think we should be watching VERY carefully for subtle hints. The unknown mafia are going to want to try and tell the known mafia who they are so they don't get lynched. The kind of action like above is something that should be watched very closely.

I've been fooled so many times on day 1, but I think Ogre is mafia and jumped on the Brains confusion too quick and too hard without really reading closely as did DD. right here, HN... this is saying to me that you think Ogre is mafia and jumped on brains too quickly and too hard, perhaps without looking further as it may be wrong to do so. I got ftom this that brains may not be guilty in his suspicions.

Brains- I think you got busted and as of right now you are the only place my vote will move to. The shrugs don't help. Rb confirmed it was possible and against the rules (just like AD posts and we all know how those have been lately). Either come clean or present some suspicions of your own. Right now you are looking scummy and are making it tough to NOT vote for. Then you go on here saying you thing brains is guilty of being mafia.

I kinda agree with this... the only thing about it that made it look scummy was the denial. Unless I see something to convince me otherwise, I'm keeping my vote on Ogre. I am tempted to vote for Z though. He's playing very different this time from anyother that I've played with him.

I agree with you for the most part, but why the fascination with the Brains thing? I think that the mafia are laying low and laughing because of all this focus.

Now, why the whole fascination on brains? Trying to relieve the heat on him/her?

Everytime that I want to believe you might be being railroaded, you post. What exactly do you believe he pulled? He may be mafia, I don't trust him or anyone, but his post is supported. You were caught and yet you still flounder trying to deny it. Why not just say, I was trying to be incognito to help the town or something? You got busted. Deal with it. The way I see it, there are 3 possibilities with you right now.

1. You're mafia and got caught between being combative and laying low, unluckily someone was watching and you don't know what to do. If this is the case, I think your team is comprised of the quiet folks.

2. You're innocent and new to the game and don't realize that most of the players here can follow the information. I find this highly unlikely. Could be that you and the Mrs. are on opposite teams and keeping a straight face last time took it's toll...

3. You're mafia and being very effective at drawing attention off of others that originally defended you (yes, I'm talking to you here Ogre).

There are certainly other possibilities, but those are what I see as most likely so far. Day 1 sucks!

Where'd I go "back and forth"? I've said that there are two people I'd vote for so far, Ogre or Brains. My vote has been solid on Ogre the whole game though. Are you disappointed or worried that I haven't switched to brains? He seems shady, but not as much as Ogre. I think YOU are the one close by his side. My vote stays where it is.[/

You really posted that exact phrase after calling me out for the very same thing?!

My phrase was nothing near what I am pointing out on you. What I am saying is I am back and forth over whether brains or Ogre is going to be my first vote. You are actually posting the reasons why you think one is guilty with proof and and then posting reasons why you think it's silly to suspect them... brains specifically.

DD- please explain why you are accusing me of going back and forth between Ogre & Brains when my vote has stayed solid and you've used the exact phrase "back & forth" multiple times in a single post in your own defense. You may help me out on who to vote for tomorrow.

I'm not accusing you of going back and forth between brains and ogre. Has nothing to do with what I am saying really. I am saying that one minute you say back off guys (basically), he's ok.... then wait guys, he's guilty, then wait guys, why's everyone jumping on him?

Wow!! I came on here fully intending on taking my vote off of Brains, after reading through everything I'm not sure what to think.

I thought about this, whole weezer/brains thing at work, the one thing that stood out to me was...maybe Rb asked him to sign up as Brains simply because MM was playing also, MAYBE he thought we would all assume they were on a team, and if we lynched one and they ended up mafia/innocent we would assume the other was also. He may have wanted to add a little extra to the game in the process of doing this.

That was the whole reason I was going to pull my vote, I thought of this and it made since to me..having him sign up under a different name so we didn't associate the two automatic. Giving them both a fair chance.

Now after reading everything I just have know idea what I think. For the time being I am going to retract my vote on Brains.

I am planning to look through things a little more and try to come up with something, I would like to try and find something on someone else that hasn't really been looked at yet..I hate when everyone is on the same person and right now it looks as everyone is either on Ogre or Brains, yes...I agree both stand out to me, but at the same time last game sticks in my head and we were all sure about Charlie, sure about DP, and sure about cooldude...all who ended up innocent and lynched b/c everyone jumped on them and didn't really look elsewhere.

Not really sure what I will find if anything, and my vote may very well end up on Ogre or Brains but at this time I would like to look elsewhere.
