With regard to CLs post and special occurrences, all of the occurrences happen at night. Since the post came late in the day, I'd think that we're probably safe, and that nobody switched sides. As you said, it could be that the captain will be too skunked to get off a hit, and this post could be the precursor to that.

I hope you are right on that Mad!!

Ok some have posted thoughts on what this might mean. I've seen the drunken stupor and the captain forgets to send in the hit occurrence. I think the chances of these things are so slim that we'd would have to be really lucky for any of them to happen.

I think this is what happened. I think the Captain swapped roles with another player which makes me think Rb or JM were Captain and had to hand it off or risk being killed. The question becomes who did they hand it off to though. The celebration talked about is for the promotion.

Ok so you added a little of your own. Not saying you're pirate Mal, just looking your way.

I would like to know also. MM does a lot of OMGUS votes so thats not really enough for me but I can't say I see a reason to vote for JL by her except for his vote on her. I can understand JL putting a vote on her as long as it doesn't effect any lynchings to see if the pressure helps a slip up or if MM stays straight and narrow.

I agree about LC. To this point I had him leaning very much innocent. To many early attacks for a newb just because he knew what he was doing. I'm still not ready to move him down to pirate but I'll be watching a bit harder now. How crazy would it be if this was all distancing and they made him the Captain? Though if they did this to distance it was a poor plan because it has outed some of them.

Yes, Ice that is a strong possibility there, about the Captain swapping roles. No, way we will know for sure on that one, if it ends up NOT being the drunken one I think that will show us the answer as I believe it would have to be one of those two myself.

As far as the MM/JL thing. Personally I don't see a reason for either to vote the other at this point, especially in a OMGUS kinda way. MM's does seem to crumble under pressure...but that usually takes more then one vote, I really would like some more thoughts from JL though, more thoughts on others, he is really bothering me this game for some reason. I know he is a lower poster in most games...that does not bother me...but usually he will add more thought when he does post. I'm just not sure about either of them ATM.

LC, I do have leaning more innocent then others too, but some of his post DO make me stop and think, I just get this twinge sometimes when I read a few of his posts.

LOL its not insomnia its mafiania. Once you start playing all the possible scenarios running through your head keep you awake until the game ends. Then hopefully you get a couple of good nights of sleep before the next game starts.

Just wait till you go on a mission and scream pirates/mafia at 9 oclock.

To Blue, the post didn't come over with this so I am just going to say, you said that Ice and HN are not posting as much as you would expect. Blue they are in the top 5 posters right now...how can you say that they are posting low? You on the other hand only have 17 posts as of now.

And you're so vocal suddenly. Whats wrong? Panic setting in that Clown will botch your captain's hit? Uncomfortable that people are calling out the selfishness in your game?

Im an observer, sometimes it pays to close your mouth and open your ears. Or in this case, stop typing and start reading. Its my style.

Your self described style seems to be lay low and watch the townies...hmm now who would be watching the townies trying to sneak amoungst us? Oh yes, thats right...a pirate.

She seems to be the only one not giving me that vibe. Her style of posting does not seem pirate-like to me. She doesnt react in a panic like most pirates would, and she hasnt made any "slips" or just any posts in general that give the slightest hint of her being pirate.
So either she isnt pirate, or she is reaaalllly good

I haven't seen her give any hint of pirate either. But maybe because she hasn't been posting that much I don't really see what some see after having playing with her in the past. I'll keep an eye there though since a few have brought it up now.

But I'm still curious why you aren't questioning others in town that you haven't gotten a feeling about one way or the other. I'm torn between thinking you're laying low as a pirate or that you just don't participate much when you play. I'm keeping my eyes on Mee-Mee and you Mal.

Clown left so many possibilities that it makes it near impossible to figure this clue out. Laughing at us now Clown? :silly:

While I hope that the clue is a hint that Blackbeard will be too drunk to order the hit I'm not wanting to bet the town's future on it either. Personally, I'm going to go back and re-read a few posts of people that have been looking more like pirates lately. If something stands out to me or someone else comes up with something I'm willing to shift my vote. Rb, don't think for a moment that means I don't still think you're mafia. For now my vote stands.

If I have my math right, it's currently 4:30pm CET on Wednesday the 19th of December. 5:30pm EST...am I wrong? If I'm right, that means we've only got like 3.5 hours left.

I believe this was Clown's intent as well, just asking for a direct answer since the rules said "Lynch"...and we're not even lynching anyone this game. (Talk about the rules favoring the pirates :eek3: :lol

Anyways, There's either 5, 6, or 7 pirates out there...I made my case as to why I don't think there are 7...that means we need to kill at least 3 pirates, preferably Blackbeard, in the next few nights...it's going to be near impossible if the Guard's hit doesn't count, and **** impossible if the Cooke's Protection trumps the Magistrate's jail-and-kill (if that actually counts as a lynch afterall).

Either way, we're going to be struggling to keep up with the pirate hits in the coming nights.

I do think Clown meant killed them in whichever way was available to us. A few extra points too: they can gain pirates through some of the Special Occurances that Clown listed which is obviously a huge negative for the rest of us. But on a plus side, if we manage to get Blackbeard (or if he has resigned, his replacement) then I believe we automatically sink their ship and win.

If ANYONE needs something like Mafia to keep their days straight, it's me...one day is just like any other out here...the weeks kinda blur together without a weekend to distinguish them apart. The fact that I have poor time-recollection in the first place doesn't help...I can't tell you if the period between two events was a few days, a few weeks, or a few months, unless they were specifically linked somehow...and that's when I DO have weekends to separate the weeks for me.

No messing with my head, no blame...just gave me an excuse to be a cocky thing that makes you wonder what's really going on. (Thank-you Nicole Scherzinger, muah muah muah).

Okay, enough sleepless delusions, back to the game.
