Mad I am not eager to get out of the limelight, I would just like to be given the benefit of the doubt at the beginning is all. And I liked my kitty inthe pumpkin, but going through old pics I found this one of my puppy in the "hood"and had to have it.
I will be grilled and bothered I have nothing to hide, or be ashamed of.
But I have to point out HN's speech only Pirates talk like that, not land lovers.

Everyone should be watched but certain players that make certain types of posts should be watched closer.

No one gets the benefit of the doubt Beth. Everyone is pirate until they prove they aren't. The only ones without any doubt are the ones that know who the innocents are.

And its little things like what I bolded that make you look even more pirate.

You are given the same benefit as everyone else. On Day 1 there's never much to go on, so, in an effort to get any information out there, people often push others pretty hard over little things. The fact that you're acting a little 'wiggy' when pushed on these things (so early in the game) is of interest.

I thought that meant to the players but I guess it could mean to the Governor also.

That doesn't seem quite fair to the town to not be able to tell known innocents, not that the thief is a known innocent since they are basically neutral.

So if the thief finds the watchman or the watchman finds the thief neither can let the Mag know?

K Ice here are the rules from the start of the game

Thief – You are not aligned with Black Beard or the town, you are on your own. You can negotiate any price for your information and may (if you find the magistrate) communicate with them outside of the thread in order to barter deals for your information. You may communicate with Black Beard outside of the thread to negotiate pricing for your information. You may choose to negotiate a flat fee for your investigations or you may choose to negotiate on a per investigation basis. Your communications cannot happen in any chat room and must be conducted through the board PM system, through email or offsite PM. You are not allowed to enter either sides chatroom. You must communicate exactly what you are told to the other side. No "creative license" is allowed. If you are bribed to say that xyz is the Governor then you must tell the pirates what you were paid to tell them. If you are paid to tell the Magistrate that your last investigation showed xyz as a pirate then you must do so. You may not offer your services for free your a thief everything has its price.

The reason the thief cannot communicate directly with the Governor is that a Governor wouldn't have anything to do with such a low life scumbag, nor would he want to be seen in the prescence of such an individual. He would however use them to his advantage and have underlings of his carry out his/her wishes.

Watchman – You are the man with all of the answers. You see all of the comings and goings in the harbor and have a keen sense of when things are wrong in your little neck of the woods. You are able to investigate any of the players within the game. Your investigation will be communicated to the magistrate through the board PM system, email or other PMing software. You are not allowed in the magistrate/governors chat room. You may not reveal your identity to anyone. You may protect any one individual during the evening from the pirate hit. (this may not be discussed with the Magistrate through the PM system) You may even protect yourself if they are getting to close to your scent.

I have revealed the watchman's identity to the appropriate person. He is not allowed to tell anyone who he/she is.

Magistrate – You are the law in this small sea side town and are responsible to create order amongst the chaos in the land. During one evening vote you may choose to annul any lynching and put the prisoner in your jail. The prisoner will be able to communicate twice in the forum while in your jail and will be under your protection. You may release him at your peril or slaughter them and complete the towns lynching. You may communicate with the governor outside of the thread. If the Thief finds you I will notify you and you may decide whether or not you wish to barter with them for information. You may also bribe the thief to feed false information to the pirates. If you die the governor loses his investigations. You may use the board PM system, email or other PMing software to talk with the Watchman about his investigations. He is not allowed in your chat room. You may not reveal his identity to anyone. You may not reveal the identity of the thief to anyone.

I am assuming that this is the point of contention and the reason for your question. It however has nothing to do with those two persons not revealing each others identities to someone else if the proper gold changes hands. In fact why not take out the competition. However I am assuming that the Governor may have something to say about it, and Black Beard, later in the game may want to question the accuracy of the information they are being given.
