There are a few people I have found to be Captainish and they happen to be Pappy, Blue, and LC. I say LC for reasons I have always said. LC is constantly back and forth over whether he is a confused newbie or an expert. The expert part is the part I have a problem with first because he speaks too experienced. I say Pappy because he does have a strange fascination over sticking up for folks and then turns in around on the next page when people are no seeing his excuses, and I'm not sure why. He even claims that he knows roles and so forth and posts it, not very townie to me.

As far as blue, well, if she was ever distant or holding back from a game, she sure is this time around. I know I am calling the kettle black, but even when she is here and posting, it is a different tone than I am accustomed to with her. It makes me very uncomfortable and for you chap, although I have my doubts on you, I will vote for her. Just so your plan is followed. I think you just wanted me "not" to post her and that is your reason for even putting that out there.

If I had to go against who I believe as captain, and vote for either one that is in the que tonight, I am sorry but I am not seeing the whole Mad thing according to Grins theories. Actually, I am not really hearing the actual solid reason why Grins believes he is Captain in the first place. And before it's argued, I am not protecting Mad by any means as I don't know if he is so innocent either, I just think Blue is moreso. And as far as the thief explaining that the captain isa male... well, how do we know the thief is even on our side?


I can't believe for once in how many ever games I have played with G, I kinda agree with her. This has mme unsettled.

Out of the 2, I am going to vote to walk Blue off the plank. I just don't trust the thief enough to put so much into her telling the truth.

I can't say I'm a bit surprised to see you vote for Blue to try to save Mad (and yes, my opinion is that is what you're doing). I guess you Pirates would be thrilled to get a 50 / 50 huh? Go ahead G... you know you've been told to move your vote.

I've been looking over the roles more, who can do what and such, There is a way, Grins knows what she does..without being on the "good side", the cook can protect whoever they want...we all assumed she was protected by the watchman or a "special"event, but really the evidence pointed to the Captain switched places that night. Who's to say, the pirates didn't put a hit on Grins, the cook protected Grins, and then we now have a "known innocent" that is actually a pirate??
Jpap you said yourself...if you didn't know she was innocent, you would think she is the captain, I've had this thought several times myself. Her and HN have become VERY close, I'm wondering if HN could be captain and Grins his first mate??

I know, this is a crazy mixed up theory, but it would make since how she knows so much about the Captain, and why her and HN are on the same wave length and so onto Mad.

Captain – you are Edward Teach better known to his men as Black Beard. Your goal is to convert as many of the innocent towns along the Caribbean coast to do your bidding. The more towns that you have under your control the stronger your forces will be when you try to defeat the English Naval Fleet in combat. You and your mates will be able to communicate outside of the thread. If you are killed your men will surrender to the English Admiral and plead for their lives. You may promote one of your Pirates (NOT Cooke) to the rank of Captain one time. You rely on thieves for your investigations and must pay them dearly for their information. It is up to you to decide whether or not you trust a thief. You may hit one person each night by emailing the victims of your choices name to the game moderator. You will be given a stash of gold with which you may barter for information from the thief. When your money runs out you will not be able to buy any more investigations. The amount of money you will receive will be up to the game moderator (see money section). You may also bribe the thief to feed incorrect information to the magistrate. What price he charges will be up to him.

Magistrate – You are the law in this small sea side town and are responsible to create order amongst the chaos in the land. During one evening vote you may choose to annul any lynching and put the prisoner in your jail. The prisoner will be able to communicate twice in the forum while in your jail and will be under your protection. You may release him at your peril or slaughter them and complete the towns lynching. You may communicate with the governor outside of the thread. If the Thief finds you I will notify you and you may decide whether or not you wish to barter with them for information. You may also bribe the thief to feed false information to the pirates. If you die the governor loses his investigations. You may use the board PM system, email or other PMing software to talk with the Watchman about his investigations. He is not allowed in your chat room. You may not reveal his identity to anyone. You may not reveal the identity of the thief to anyone.

With mee-mee being revealed as the thief, I'm actually wondering more about Jpap and his odd Day 1 vote on mee-mee. In the Blackbeard description, it says nothing about the captain not revealing the role of the thief to the pirates like it does for the magistrate. Therefore, it can probably be assumed that the pirates know who the thief is.

JL voted mee-mee to stay out of the main action of Day 1, and JPap followed. As the pirates could communicate with mee-mee I think that this could have been a plan between the 3 to actually sit somewhat out of the main action.

Mee-mee also seemed to do a complete 180 (strongly mafia -> strongly innocent) on JPap around the same time as the captain change. The thief's loyalties may have remained with Blackbeard. Note, JPap was very quick to vote for me when Grins mentioned that she heard thru the grapevine that the new cap was male. Thoughts?

HN, it wouldn't of been a waste, they knew JMax was going to get hit it was very obvious Ice was the Guard and was going to take her out, they would gain alot by this "wasted" hit.
