Mafia #26: Roadside Picnic the Game

At this point, I'm very suspicious of those with low (role play NOT included) or no posts. Ice, rb, hooked may be evil or whatever, but they are probably not. Remember that we only have 4 evils out of all of us this game.

That's true Rb... I guess I could be accused of skimming too then. I'm basing it on what he said in the signup thread.

How 'bout it Z?

I just looked through the entire signup thread and see no mention of how many Stalkers or what percentage of stalkers Z was planning for this game.

Ice turns on the TV and listens to the news, rumour is Homeland Security has caught Ogre admitting on tape to being a Stalker. Ice walks over to his front window ,its so nice outside that he decides to open it and let some fresh air in. The wind is blowing towards the Zone so no danger in the air today. He hears the kids on the sidewalk jumping rope and singing "Ogre screwed up Ogre screwed up La La La La La La...... La La La La La La "

I retract my vote on RB and vote to throw Ogre in the Zone also based on his statement "Ice, rb, hooked may be evil or whatever, but they are probably not." I think RB is innocent but I hadn't heard a peep from anyone that HN might be a stalker so I'm going to watch HN pretty hard. Its funny that Ogre threw HNs name out there when there wasn't any suspicion on him at all.

I'm not understanding you Grace. First you hide from Military Operatives because supposedly you think they could abuse their power. That was understandable that you could have gotten them mixed up as the bad guys. I would think after being questioned you would have gone back to the intro and found out they were actually the good guys. Then you came back again and shed more shadow on the military op's:

Shaking her head, Grace wanders back to her house. She doesn't like altercations, she doesn't like the mistrust. But it's normal. It's life in ACville. Well, she has provisions for the next couple days. She hates shopping, she hates the rationing, she hates the crowds, the lack of fresh fruit, milk, real meat.

Turning her thoughts toward earlier, Grace has always liked Ice. She can imagine why he's so quick to jump, so quick to accuse. Everybody is. But she's seen too many good men go bad. Go bad because they've seen their families killed, their friends turn to smuggling, their lives wrecked from aliens. She just hopes she's not another innocent at the hands of Operatives.

And it almost seems like you're trying to get pple to sympathize w/the smugglers, who are actually the Stalkers, aka the bad guys. The only reason you should fear the Operatives so much in this game is if you're a Stalker.

The interactions between ice, grace, and Rb is what stands out to me first.
of the 3 newbs she is getting alot of attention from these two, granted of the 3 newbs she is the only one to post over 1 post.

IMO

1) They either are trying to get to her to slip up and reveal herself if she is a baddy.

2) they're tryin to create a slip up so that she can say something incriminating and then jump on it and have every one vote an innocent but giv a reason why they voted. This happend last game with EMO, the bad guys jumped at the chance to to sway voting based on emos bad grammer.


Im leaning toward #2 which would lead me to belive that either ice or rb is scummy. Both have nit picked at graces post, tryin to turn certain words or phrases into confessions or "slip ups"

I'm not discounting that she might have slipped but you can't base confused newbie on smartness and RP ability. The fact that she can make well written posts and RP well doesn't necessarily mean she had the roles correct.We still have almost 48 hours to see what transpires.

I realize you used "IMO" but there are other scenarios. It could be that both RB and Ice are just questioning Grace because they find her confusing as I do. I don't get a bad vibe from either Ice or RB atm as I feel they are just trying to weed out the baddies by kicking bushes. I think they're both a little too agressive to be Mafia. Of course it can all be a ruse, but IMO it'seasier for the Mafia if they just cruise along posting just enough to stay under the radar and coming out at opportune times to egg aggressive players against each other more. I can't help but wonder if that's what you're doing.

IMO, Grace has slipped in expressing her fears of the OP's. Not only once, but twice.

Ice and RB both jumped on ogre for stating 4 evils....but i would call that a slip by ogre.

Ogre can you explain were you got the number 4? i know you said its a mistake but you had to pull the number from somewhere

I think that Gracecat has made a couple of mistakes, so I think she is mafia and made a slip its possible. But could it also be a newb getting into the game and being overexcited perhaps. I think at this point it is something to watch.

Ogre I would like to know where the number came from as well, I don't know for certain if this is a slip or just confusion. Another one to watch

Ice and Rb have been jabbing at eachother the whole game so far, which is normal play I think for them. THey did it last game too and they were both innocent.

Beth stares out at a cold dreary day, not a single drop of sunshine any where to be seen. She watches Ice and Rb walking down the street, their playful banter comes through the window and makes her smile. The grandfather clock chimes sdoen the hall and she remembers its time to go to work. Maybe Lady G and Jensons have some drinks waiting. Slowly she gets her lab coat on, putes her keys in her pocket and heads out the door. She wonders if the operatives will be able to keep them all safe tonight. She passes some on the way to the lab, and he smiles at her, he seems familiar so she exchanges a friendly smile back.
