Mafia #28: The Play

LOL, but actually Ice has a good point there, anymore all this you win no matter what crap doesn't teach the kids anything...why try harder to get better if you still get a pat on the back no matter what you do. I about feel over when my son was in "little league" and they didn't even take score!!! Cause well "everyone is a winner"!!!

yeah, i agree one hundred percent! i just wanted to pick on ice a lil, ..lmao..i hate when the girls cheer for the flag games, there is no score kept there either, and they don't understand when they ask who won, and i am like no one, ..lol

You're just lucky that ZS made the call not to leave me around. You weren't nearly as undercover as you think. I believed Ice was innocent and if the two of us could have worked together, I think we could have nailed you all. I voted like I did for surprise, but like I said I feel the innocents won the battle. Just like I don't feel bad about losing the last game to JL, I don't think anyone should care about the very end of this one. It's how you play the game...

See, for us there was no 'I' in mafia lol We all made the choice to not leave you around...we knew you and Ice would most likely start working together and it wouldn't go good for us. We had our own secret site lol...we posted almost 350 times...it was funny.

I agree with that.

I sure hope Zig's mom is ok.

Since only a few of us know what happened with The Zigman, I'll share. His mom had to go in for emergency heart bypass surgery. That is why he had an UD. It wasn't that he wasn't interested in the game, or didn't realize he needed to vote. We've not heard from him yet to find out if she's okay. Hopefully she's recovering and beginning the healing process.

I like how my parents raised me and it's how I raise my son. I was very competitive and actually pretty good at sports, so was my brother. We were taught to always do our best, play hard and strive for victory. But if we lost were not put down for losing, only encouraged to keep trying. Above all we were taught to have fun. If it's not fun, you won't give your best effort, and then your chances of winning decrease. And no matter how good you are, and even if you've done your absolute best, there is no shame in admitting that someone else is better. We were taught to be gracious winners and graceful losers.

I agree that having a sports event with no winner is just plain stupid. It doesn't teach kids anything. There are always going to be people who are better than you, smarter than you, prettier than you, whatever, and you need to learn to deal with that and accept it. Otherwise you end up with pansy emo kids who can't handle any sort of criticism, pressure or failure.

There is an I in mafIa

Thats pretty much how I fee,as long as you do your best fine,l but when it comes to playing a sport when records do count then a player that isn't as good isn't going to get playing time.

I'm toooooo competitive. I got ripped,by my wife, for yelling at my daughter and kicking her off my team in family volleyball. The ball went right to her but she was to busy pulling the petals off a flower. If you're not even going to try then get out of the way. She has learned her lesson and while she isn't a great player she can keep the ball alive long enough for the others to score. The motivation of knowing that if she doesn't try she won't play made her play her best. Now my wife understands why I was hard on her that game.
