Mafia 30: Witness Protection - The Play

The Lynch
With three residents left, and the town's mayor apparently identified, choices are extremely limited. Votes are cast, and the apparent loser is led off to face judgement before Bala.
Upon arriving at Town Square, the noose is placed and tightened. For the second night in a row, a booming voice bellows 'STOP!'
As with the previous night Bala continues: 'The mayor of ACville declares that this candidate shall not be lynched on this night…'
Unwilling to go against the wishes of the mayor, and ultimately Bala, the residents set another candidate free.
Tree_Hugger is safe for now

Angered at being denied another night, the Don acts swiftly. They reach into their coat and pull out a single-shot pistol, which they aim at the mayor.
Apparently the mayor came prepared, as when they see the Don draw a pistol, they draw one of their own. Unfortunately for the mayor, it's not fast enough, as the Don fires first.
The mayor looks down, sees the blood spurting from their chest, and drops the gun. With a major artery severed, its only a matter of seconds before the mayor lies dead.

Angered at being denied another night, the Don acts swiftly. They reach into their coat and pull out a single-shot pistol, which they aim at the mayor.
Apparently the mayor came prepared, as when they see the Don draw a pistol, they draw one of their own. Unfortunately for the mayor, it's not fast enough, as the Don fires first.
The mayor looks down, sees the blood spurting from their chest, and drops the gun. With a major artery severed, its only a matter of seconds before the mayor lies dead.

Epilogue
Tree_Hugger stares wide-eyed at C-note, and knows now for sure that he's the Don of the ACville Mafia.
C-note points his gun, and orders Tree_Hugger to the ground.
Knowing that the Don's gun was only a single-shot pistol (which is now empty), Tree_Hugger makes a move to retrieve the mayor's dropped pistol.
C-note makes a move for the mayor's pistol at the same time, and we're off to the races.
Both are neck-and-neck, running for the pistol, when Tree_Hugger stumbles on a seemingly randomly placed scooter seat (tails on random.org actually), sending her flying to the ground. C-note continues on and reaches the gun first.
Without wasting any time, C-note retrieves the gun and cocks the hammer. The trigger is squeezed, and the bullet hits Tree_Hugger, a Townie, between the eyes.
Mafia wins!
