Mafia #44 Christmas At ACville

I have a question.....several people keep referring to what roles others played in past games - is it pretty common for the mod to try to spread the love by making sure others get a chance, or is it just typically a random draw? Just curious and trying to wrap my head around it.........

It all depends on the Mod and what mood they're in or if they've been taking blue pills. :lipssealedsmilie: Some use a random number generator and some use the Bala generator.

Well I have an excuse, I am at work. (I might sneak on at home, just matters). I get to work most of the day tomorrow.

I did expect to see a little more particaption, but it is only the first day. I am sure we will see some action on Saturday. We will have to or there will be lots of UD's.

Also, something that you had posted about earlier, concerning the roles being random. I think they are random, but tweaked. I have no proof of this, but I am fairly certain a game mod would want to make sure the game play was good.

I could not imagine all the power roles going to all noobs. I think if that came up randomly, a responsible mod would tweak it.

I also think that rb would be inclined to "spice things up" with his tweaking. I could be way wrong about this and really have no reason or facts to base this on, just my wild imagination.

I think Mods have admitted to tweaking the game to make it more interesting. I agree, I don't think all the new people would have been put on the evil team. It is likely that one of them are though I'm not sure exactly who. Of V2K, Eddie, and Piggy I would have to say Eddie looks most suspicious atm. But unless something blatant sticks out I do not feel comfortable voting there on day one.

Well, now that my son has moved back home and into the spare room (where the PC is!) I am hoping I have sufficient time to devote to this game without jeopardizing my job during the day! :lipssealedsmilie:

I think you post was nothing but a false statement to distract the town.

I am not defending myself, I am trying to figure out what poeple you are reffering to. I couldn't really find any thing remotely close to what you were claiming besides the two examples I gave.

Those 2 posts would be the ones I was referring to, John. They weren't talking about being away for a couple of hours, they were blanket statements to cover pretty much any time they weren't here.... something kind of like if acccused, the excused can always be like, "but look... on page 1, I said I would't be so available." If you're not being defensive, why do you keep bringing it up when you are one of those we both know made the statement?

While I am thinking of you, if anything, I would think you were here or more vocal than I've ever seen you.... so yes, this too has raised suspicion, as did your clinging to that statement.

My post wasnt to distract the town, it was to alert them, in case later in the game.... the situation is brought up. The point is to make sure that if there is something weird going on, yes, it's noticed and noted.

I have DD leaning more evil the more I think about V2K and then DD posts, the more I want to lynch DD. I will say if V2K comes up evil, I will vote DD and if DD comes up evil I will cote V2K.

If I change, I most likely will change from jpap to DD. jpap did start something about past roles and then claims it had no merit. Odd thing to start, seems to me he was trying to get others on some sort of witch hunt and was going to then step away.

You seem to be referencing JL's posts but yet you quote mine...Care to state why? My 20 yr old son has moved home for a month and it is a bone of contention with his step father/my husband.....the computer is in the only other room, where he will be staying/sleeping....sorry if it is an inconvenience but that is life...

my post was in response to John's question, Noodles. He was asking me who I was talking about when I said something about people giving absence excuses so early in the game.... that question is the 3rd quote down, in the same post....read the third box, and then my repsonse to it.... it explains that my statement was in reference to the 2 posts above the quote.

Wow a whole lot said in the last few hours but no real content. I would have to say that right now most of the mafia is laying low letting the town turn round and round on itself.

JL your digging hard to find something and some pays off and some is just junk ends.

Noodles your content so far has not had much more than chit chat and self defense.

DD your deflecting a lot of stuff and trying to get people to look the other way. When I played agains you and you were evil you played better than that so I believe that your leaning innocent.

As for the noobs they are playing like noobs and showing more than they should. My biggest concern right now is Eddie. So with that said IDK if there is a clear choice right now so I'm staying were I am.

So Eddie have you played before? you seem to have jumped right to the guns. It seems as though you have been coached to say something or you just have this awesome natural talent for mafia.

here, cat brings up a good point. Seems you know the game.... sometimes.... because then you go and act like you dont know how to play by saying things like you will never know (not in that many words but something like it.... and then sometimes you seem to know exactly what move to play. By that, I mean because someone is helping you out... whether it is you are the grinch or an elf, that I don't know...

Now why would I hit a steelers/penguins fan? Best teams ever. If you were a Cowboy fan I might consider something. But I'm a lover not a fighter.

Eddie, here is your resonse to questioning about putting a hit out... your defense is, you wouldn't hit a Steelers fan.... why would you put a hit on anyone? And finishing it off with "I'm a lover not a fighter" adds a holy safety net for that first comment if you ask me.
