I think the reveals would be good. I really am not sure how the town has a clue about anything without them.

How about a twist with the reveals?

The grinch has the power to once (and only once) to have the nightly reveal be wrong. So the town will always have that bit of doubt if the reveal was the truth or not.

It could be called "The Grinch's egg-nog".
 
I'd prefer reveals with no twists. Maybe reveal all lynches accurately, and just don't reveal any night kills to the town (but, the mafia would still know the role of the person killed).
