Hmmm...seems to me like you are starting to fit your own scenario here ogre. You said that the mafia stay out of the game mostly but still post obvious things...how long have people been saying that mafia are usually the ones to back off and let the innocents do the dirty work? For as long as I can remember. Yet you have been trying mighty hard to get your point across...

I agree someone is laughing there rump off in a chat room somewhere, but Maelstrom is about dead last on who that would be. Because, unlike DD's comment, I do think that the mafia wouldn't try something like that. There's no way it has any value for them. If they try it and no one comments on it (like I did), then they stand a really good chance of getting lynched and cutting their strength in half. If they try it and it works, then who's going to get looked at first when the target turns up innocent.

Again, you are assuming that either the mafia are veteran players or that they are not willing to take risks. It's these kind of statements where the town tries to guess what the mafia is thinking that usually come around and bite us in the butt, or just get us nowhere...

Um, that's exactly why I asked the question Ogre, to clarify your position on Mael. I wasn't trying to insinuate anything.

You're second on my list as you are trying awfully hard to make me look bad yet you put your vote on noodles because she fits your magical mafia description. hate to break it to you, your ideas aren't all that new.

Yes, it was somewhat vague because I wanted to see who jumped which way. I only got a partial darn it... that's OK. My vote hasn't changed.

The guessing the alias WASN'T THE PURPOSE OF THE POST. One, it's warning. Two, it was a feeler to see who jumped where. Three, you're right it doesn't really matter... unless I'm right about two things... who it is and how they are playing.

I was just in the process of typing my reply to the fact that altho I do not like that Maelstrom will not state why he voted as he did, I am not comfrtable getting on a train this early in the game. It seems to be everyone is just beating a dead horse at this point and not getting us anywhere. I need to find a horse with a heart beat to beat on for now.....

Well, that is the question of the hour. I am tired and not thinking clearly; so who do we suspect? the ones who post alot and are most defensive or the low posters? Or as Ogre suggests, those of us who post and think aloud but do not have clear answers????? In any of these scenerios I could come up with a list of top suspects but I will refrain until I can go over things again and think/post clearly.

I think that by voting without stating reasons is scummy...yes. Because the idea of the game is to get ideas out there so we can help the town figure out who the evils are. It seems to me like someone starting a train.

Why are you so reluctant to give any sort of reasoning for your vote? The reason people are not just throwing out votes on people is because there is only 1 retraction in this game. You wouldn't be getting a hard time if you would let us in on why you voted the way you did.

Saying that something smells like someone starting a train shows that you've got fairly strong feelings about maelstrom possibly being mafia...heck, you even lean DD innocent. For some reason, though, you don't really ever mention your thoughts on maelstrom.



In this post, you kind of express mild agreement with maelstrom that DD always seems guilty, but go onto say that maelstrom's vote kind of inspires you to move DD up a notch toward innocent. You never come right out and call maelstrom's move scummy, though, but apparently you really think it is.

In this game, the main idea is to lynch your best suspects so it seems odd that you'd take the time to lean DD innocent in your post, but not try to go after maelstrom at all. This looks like a possible attempt to blend; cuddling up to DD while not really pointing that strong of a finger at maelstrom...leaving it for others to lead that charge.



Now here's a follow-up post explaining how early votes are good for getting people talking, and hoping something good comes from maelstrom's early vote. You still don't look to be taking much of a stand on maelstrom here. Odd since you find mael's actions scummy enough to move DD up on the innocent scale.

Makes me move you down a little toward mafia, Dawg.

Huh? Once again you need to go back and re-read. In post 139 I NEVER accused Dawg of not answering my question. You are obviously confusing me with maelstrom in post 140. Note: We are DIFFERENT people.

Please start quoting others' posts when you address them. Not only will it help you keep your own facts straight, it'll allow others to understand what you're talking about, and therefore not have to ask you to clarify.

Dirtydawg is somebody I am interested in for going quiet after a inconsistent coupleof comments following me voting for Dangerdoll and for being active in the game prior to going quiet. Also I think he ignored a direct question put to him as well.

I have a little more reading to catch up on while I was posting this but I have my vote narrowed down to 2 suspects for tonight I suspect.

How the heck could I have said you never answered my question? Go back to post 139, and you'll see that I quoted your answer to my question. What I find odd was that it took a question from me for you to come out and say you thought maelstrom was scummy. In your previous posts, you leaned DD innocent (based on maelstrom's vote), but didn't say squat about mael, who you later said appeared to be trying to start a train.

As I said, sure looks like blending to me. Cozy up to DD, and at the same time send suspicion maelstrom's way without pointing your own finger.

And now your response to all of this is to accuse me of accusing you of not answering my question? I agree you answered, even quoted your response, btw.

How can you say that you haven't been quiet, Dawg? Prior to you leaning DD innocent based on mael's vote, here's all of your posts. Nothing helpful. Just general observations. Not questioning anyone. Not trying to stir anything. Looks like you're just working on a post count to me.

Granted you're not the only one doing it, but coupled with your possible blending, it really makes me like you for scum.

I wish it was so easy that the mafia had and "AC" at the beginning of their name...lol...but I think the game would be over pretty quick. No one really seems to be standing out yet but that's typical of day 1.

At least this game we have 3 days of day 1 antics so we may actually be able to get somewhere if people start participating a little more. With the superbowl and all the parties going on I would suspect we may not see much action today unfortunately.

Yeah...I'll be having my share of beer and football today too...:dance:

Not a whole lot of convincing posting going on yet. It could very well be the superbowl effect. I see all the finger pointing going on and I agree with Ogre that most if not all of it is probably innocents jumping on innocents but it is always tough to tell this early on. Hopefully the posting and ideas will pick up tomorrow and the seemingly frivolous bickering will turn into something a little more constructive.

So according to the list JL is the only person who hasn't checked in yet.
