You guys all need to cop on a bit and think about the benefits of this UD thang. You don't have to vote. Now, how many times does anyone nail a mafia on day 1 vote ? Exactly. How do mafia win games ? usually quickly, by getting 2 at a time each nightfall.

I am highly suspicious of anyone who has cast a vote and not called it out as basically random, i.e. tried to put any whiff of a genuine suspicion on it at all.

Oh yeah, and the non-participating people - who would be possible UD's under different rules - are far more likely innocent than mafia. Mafia play the game.

Oh yeah, and calling out the non-participating people, tagging votes on them etc, is a scum tell.

I am gonna go ahead and throw my vote out there, but I should be back before nightfall. I vote to lynch The Red Severum. TRS has played enough games to know the importance of participation, yet he has not posted at all yet. I think he is using the no UD rule as a safety net to hide for a while.....just my thoughts. (of course this could also apply to JL but JL is not known for hiding or being quiet. I suspect RL is a factor. therefore TRS gets my vote for now)

eh, I still have a problem with this explanation (I am trying to guess that that's what this is....) The issue I have with it is not so much as you have said I got the joke but there was a lot of posting in between my post and Ice's post... where all involved seemed to carry in the joke... yet you still single us two out.

So then I read today that MC also has a problem with my posting level. Ok, I can see if we were talking days into the game, MC but come on, there is not much going on. So, actually, looking at the numbers, when you made this post, you only had 1 or 2 posts more than I did.... so what gives? would that be an error in judgement? If you are merely a townie trying to look for early clues.... I think you should look a little further than post count at this point....

I guess you have posted more than I thought and more in the first day than in some games I have played with you....I guess it was a bad judgement call....My main reason for the concern was meerly just to get people talking....talking about something. I guess it worked.

I usually do start the games off a bit quiet until the ball starts rolling and we can get more info. However this weekend I will be especially quiet because I am heading to NH for the NASCAR race today. This will probably be my last post before nightfall unless it happens in the next half hour or so. I don't have a lot to go on but MC you do have me thinking about you as mafia. So...I vote to lynch MC.

I don't have a lot to go on since it is day one but I just have a feeling he is scum. I will most likely be leaving my vote where it is.

Why the random vote for me? There are UD's and you put your vote on me because you say I seem scummy, why is this, just because the last few games I was picked to be scum....is that what you are basing your opinion on?

I couldn't disagree more.

If we all sit back and vote no one then how do we track down mafia? Mafia don't need to vote which in turn doesn't leave a trail to follow. But letting non participants alone we also have no clues.

The only thing I do agree with above is the bolded statement. Except that I do have a genuine explanation.

In this setup its a high probability that the mafia does just sit back and do nothing. Why do anything when there is no reason too? No lynches just means the game lasts longer because the only deaths are by hits. With no voting pattern they can't be tracked and it leaves the SK to guessing and pretty much forces them to place hits increasing the chance of hitting townies. Or the SK decides since they can't track mafia might as well help the mafia and take out 2 players per night. They have a better chance at hitting townies so again why should the mafia show themselves at all.

This setup lends itself to hiding as a covering thyself aspect.

I don't agree with the TRS vote by Noodles atm just bc most games have started the 1st of the month or soon after, not before so I'm not sure they even know the game has started.

Noods, there is a difference between hiding and not being on the site at all.

TRS was last logged on at 12:53 pm CST on Friday. The game started at 6:15 PM that same day. There is no way that TRS got his PM then, unless I am missing something here. TRS does not know his role therefore there is no way to say for sure that he is a mafia hiding.

And I am curious as to why you are giving JL a pass. He is in the same situation, and actually knows more about the game than TRS. It makes more sense to vote JL because he should be posting. But same thing, JL was last on AC on Friday and wouldn't have a PM. If anyone should be questioned it is Dopehand who was online yesterday but stil hasn't posted. Yet you go after TRS?

They only know if they've been to the site. Nothing points to that being the case except for as Jpap pointed out the Dopehead.

Well most likely true but not necessarily...He could have email notification of PM as I do. That is how I know the game had started...ya never know do you. One would assume that is not the case.
