go ahead, take a guessHere is my opinion of the doctor -
I think the mafia would love to know who the Doctor is. The Doctor is the main enmy of the Mafia as they can protect against their hit plus they have one investigation.
Are you wanting to know who I think the Doctor is?
I should probably answer this...
I would try to lynch them.
Why? Well there is only a 50% chance they are with the town in the first place, well sort of as really they can waver and switch sides at their liking. There is no way to tell for sure which side they are on at the time as the SK can randomly hit anybody they choose: scum or not scum. And they don't know who is who, so they might be going for scum and hit a townie, or vice versa. I hope this makes sense. Therefore, I think it is best to get them out of the way as 1) they dont count towards the town's numbers and 2) they can easily kill townies night after night.
I don't know about other people, but thats what I would do.
IMO it doesn't matter how pro-town the SK is they still have a good chance of hitting townies. One person's gut instinct is no different really than the collective votes of the town in this situation. On the flip side if they are with the mafia they have a chance of hitting mafia too, but even less so than townies given a normal split of more innocents/less evils.
In this game the SK can choose whatever "side" they want but the outcome of the hits are not going to follow those lines 100% of the time.
The way I look at it is: The SK can kill all willy nilly whomever he/she wants and whenever they want. I highly doubt they are really gonna pick sides to "help" because they are totally in it for their self preservation. The way I look at it we already have the mafia picking us off one by one, why take a chance at getting picked off by the SK too??
That got me thinking... Few reasons come to mind which lead me to decide that I would take out the SK if I knew who it was. The SK has no allegiance to one side or the other so nothing they do or say is going to help us root out scum... if ongoing participation doesn't benefit any of us (isn't particularly pro-town), then there's no reason (so far) to protect them or keep that person in the game.
At best, they'll just add to the confusion which also doesn't help us... that would help the mafia more than anyone else. At worst, they'll be able to kill at random instead of selectively..... where the population of potential victims is something around 3/4 townies to 1/4 scum. So lacking any reason to target scum over citizens those random deaths will more likely kill innocents.
I see more ways in which the SK will likely hurt us more than help us, so that's more reason to remove them.
Why DD? She has been in the mix and is more vocal than usual with the quesitoning of Luv...if anyone jm has only 2 posts so far. But with there being just over 24 hours of gameplay so far I would be more worried about who is a no show vs. who exactly is talking.
I don't think the SK would be so stupid as to hit someone this early. Harsh, but it would be royally stupid no matter what side they are on to pick a random hit early. Plus, it's already been explained (exhausted really) that 2/3 of the remaining players to post have not even been on AC yet. And I don't think the SK would want to hit a newb. Just doesn't seem plausible at this point.
The more I think about it, the more I believe the SK is going to wait until he/she sees the game tip to one side's favor and then use their hits. No sense in randomly hitting people only to even up the score. They want the game to be as quick as possible so they do not have to survive longer than needed. I could be entirely wrong, as I cannot know what the SK is thinking. Just my thoughts again...
actually, if I werer to vote anyone today, it would be bugz... not ready to just yet though... so far bugz has claimed something odd in the beginning of the game and again here, bugz... your reason for voting MC is because he is the only one continuoulsy bringing up the whole Ice and DD joke thing..... I think O have been bringing it up and I believe Ice has too now... so now what? Nothing else looks as shady to me as this...
Anyone have a vote tally? Haven't kept up really. Shouldn't have to do the Mods work lol.
So then why Luv over MC? I don't have a vote tally in front of me but I'm pretty sure MC had more then Luv.
umm, I didn't spend "all day" throwing suspicion at you and you should really be a little more careful throwing your weight around. It's often times that the coc kiest if players turn out to be Mafia. Especially young ones. (Young meaning not having very many games under their belts).
so to answer the common question of "why I didn't vote" is simply because I didn't need to. Aside from not being around right up to night call, I wasn't really solid in my suspicion on those that had their necks on the line and knowing that I didn't really have to voted, I figured it would go as it would...
Jpap stopped posting in this thread around 3:30 yesterday, but was still posting all over the forum.....not sure that helps any, but there you have it.
The SK's Hit is instant, but I won't announce it till Nightfall. But you will know who killed who.
Dawg you have had time, lets here your words of wisdom.
This I disagree with completely. MC was already leading the votes a good 10 min or so before nightfall (once FD voted him). He did switch his vote from Luvbugz to himself but he couldn't have expected anyone else to change their vote one way or another based on that move (trying to appear innocent) because he waited until the very last minute to do it.
Check back to his post and you'll see it hit the thread at one minute after the server clock hit nightfall and one minute later (at 2 min past the hour), JL posted that was nightfall.
As the SK, MC wasn't tied to anyone... and his vote on Luvbugz didn't carry her to get lynched anyway so he also didn't switch to save her. MC was going out already and he knew it... which is what he said as well. His last-minute switch had no effect on anyone so, while I think it was a pointless gesture, all I can read into that was that it was his way of saying his game is over and... farewell.
Dawg, I have trouble with your explanation here. If MC's hit on Jpappy was random (which you stated above) and that's the only reason he killed off a mafia player, why would we presume at all that he would have been "hitting more scum for us" had he stayed in the game?
On Coler: Yes he has terrific instincts, that's very true. But he also blows a LOT of smoke deliberately both early in the game to get people rattled... just before nightfall to see if he can get someone else to switch... or just because he's playing around and it's a fun way to do this. From what I saw from him in the last game, I decided not to read very much into his read of the suspects he posted on D1 (despite the fact that he flipped innocent at the end) because the whole day was painfully slow and I know he points at people sometimes that he doesn't really suspect. He did that last time when it wasn't intended to benefit his mafia connection or even distance himself from it. I'm not saying for us to disregard what Coler said about others from his role as an innocent... just that I'm reluctant to give it very much weight.
On DD: That I agree with. She really did lean a certain way and had every chance to follow through with it and vote for the person she claimed to suspect... which she decided not to do.
On MC: As I mentioned here already, I don't think MC was confused or trying anything.. so I doubt that he offed himself either. I was waiting to see what would happen that last hour before nightfall and it wasn't very eventful. We had a three-way tie going for quite some time and I'm sure everyone was waiting to see which way the non-voters/non-participants would go to decide the outcome. The tally was posted and nothing really happened... FD cast a deciding vote.. and nobody switched. Then nobody else showed up to vote either.

just for record's sake...what would your opinion of the doctor be?
