Mafia 56. An Unknown Evil. THE GAME....

The other clue I think is that JL wouldn't vote for Ogre and kept pushing that he might be good PR. I think that since JL was KGB, if he woulda even caught whiff that Ogre was CIA like he is claiming; Ogre wouldn't be standing tonight.

I agree with that completely.

Ummm... three people (or more) commented on it. YOU asked for an explanation.

Saw? I think we all saw who said something.

I'm gonna laugh if there's a mafia don, a lead vampire, a werewolf king, the head of the KGB, a mad scientist, and a serial killer.

I was more concerned with the "I am a target" statement and why you made it worse by giving it legs. I know that jpap brought it out in the open, which is odd if he thought you might be a power role.

I don't get an evil feel for you and most of the time when you are evil I see it pretty well.

I have been thinking about this game and as far as I can tell there is no real order of nightly events. There is some sort of unknown evil and one player knows what is going on. Also that player is on the towns side, but if killed could be on a different team.

I am not sure what is up with Ogre, but I don't see him freaking out as if he was evil. At this point I am leaning Ogre innocent. I think my vote on DD is a waste.

I retract my vote on Dangerdoll and vote to lynch phoenixn7g

So far it seems like she is doing as told or just following. The lone vote for Ice seems odd, almost as odd as her vote for me right after jm1212 with no reason and then when asked for a reason she just retracted her vote. She seems not to want to stand up for her reasons but then votes for two of the more aggressive players.

Too strange to be evil.

I retract my vote on phoenixn7g and vote to lynch AnniesNotOk.

Something Luv pointed out about them being all gung ho and then not posting got me thinking Annie, who was viewing the thread. I expected some sort of post, but nope, nothing. I also have Ogre leaning innocent and he is voting Annie.

I need to chill on the vote changing and most likely will not be changing. Unless jpappy uses his baiting skills on me.

I have Ogre leaning innocent for basically the reason you have him leaning evil. You think he slipped up and has an evil role. I think he slipped up and has a power role.

Do I need to pull up more?? I really think this pretty much puts the nails in Ogre's coffin. JL was also protesting Phoniex's innocence.

I would also like to know why Rocker kept a lone vote on Kash?? Why did Kash have a lone vote on Jpap??

Thanks for rejoining the show Rich.

I'm not sold on the Ogre train, he obviously has information most of us don't since he said KGB before it was revealed, but why would he do that if he was one? A slip, yes, but that is a huge slip and I can't see Ogre doing it. If there are more KGB and he is CIA as he says then we need to at least humor him till he explains his powers. Any remaining KGB will nail him anyways now that he's outed.

Ogre did slip pretty bad in a game where the bad guys couldn't communicate. What if the team doesn't communicate in this game either and Ogre was trying to let them know he was one.

I do see some sense in your idea but isn't that the same as pocket mafia? Can we risk letting Ogre slip by an extra day? What if he can still send in hits?

I was pretty sure I would get hit tonight, no worries. It should be fun sitting back and watching you all try to figure out the rules...wish I could say more to help out, but I'm pretty PO'd that the scum made me lose "my precious" ;)

I'm back now, so I'll post. Looks like nothing much has happened.

Everybody worries me at this point because I don't have any idea who's playing for which side. There's been a lot of confrontational stuff going on between different people and I never get a good read on those... especially on Day 1.

In the vamp game, yes that's right. Annie worked hard trying to get turned on purpose because he wanted to join the scum team. In the following game, Annie was scum and did a great job playing that role. One thing I remember reading in their thread when they posted that after the game ended was how much Annie kept asking Wycco to let him be evil again when this game started and Wycco was going to be the mod. I don't know if Wycco would be willing to indulge that request or not.. so I realize that has no bearing on the actual assignments made here. But I do see something of a cockiness in his posting which was much like the posting he did once he became a vamp. Having successfully fooled everyone as evil last time, it's possible that Annie is tackling this game with even more confidence than he's done before...

I'm flattered Kash, but there are a couple misleading statements in this post.

First, In the vampire game I alluded to being the Doctor not because I wanted to join your scumteam, but to buy the real doctor another night. I was doing what was best for the town, not what was best for me.

Second, last game you say i kept asking Wycco for an evil role this time. I made one joke post at the end of the thread asking Wyyco to make me evil again. He did not indulge me.

I vote to lynch Ogre.

Just a recap so far...

Kash, Rich, Ogre, Coler, ZSand, Rocker, JM

DEAD:
Phoenix - Lynched
JohnL - Killed by a game player
JPappy - Killed by a game player

Since nobody knows what the rules are now that Jpappy is dead, and I feel particularly vulnerable along with DD (and Ogre too, I suppose)... I'm going to post all I can to get these thoughts out there for the town to work from. Before anything else happens.

I'm not sure which way to view this role.

1. An assassin (whether good or evil - as in KGB or CIA) could be Wycco's equivalent of a Serial Killer role. If that's true, then it's a solitary player who kills independently and probably doesn't know anything more than other players do.

2. But... this could also be a small squad of assassins working together, in which case this means they'd be a communicating evil team... aka a regular mafia team with hits. If this is true, they may or may not be given investigations too.

Does anyone know or care to comment?

I am really starting to question where Kash's loyalties lie. Yes, she isn't possessed, but that doesn't clear her from being some sort of other evil (KGB? something else??) She spent most of the first day trying to figure out the rules and roles of people instead of just looking for plain out evil. Then she comes back and votes for Jpap. Makes a big deal about how Phoniex should be giving a pass because she was a noob and how that Annie is such a better candiate. Completely ignores the Ogre situation (kinda like what she is doing now).

Another thing is bothering me completely. JL and Phoniex were both voting for Annie. Ogre was first to vote for Annie. Pretty much an OMGUS for calling him out about the possiblity of having a PR (way before the KGB thing). Ogre comes back on and pretty much defends Annie; asking everyone why people followed his vote on Annie. ?????? This is boggling my head.

My biggest question is: Are the evils working independently or not. If one evil wins, does all evil win? Would other evils be trying to help other evils?

My biggest question is: Are the evils working independently or not. If one evil wins, does all evil win? Would other evils be trying to help other evils?

I will answer this one question.

Not all evils are on the same team. For example- you know from game play that the dead innocents had a chance to win the game their goal was to identify the wearer of the "ring of the dead". Since it was revealed last night that that character was JPappy and that he was dead... the innocent dead team can no longer win.

Since KGB agents died last night you also know that there is a KGB team. The KGB are a completely different team.

Although there have been no confirmed Demons/Possessions yet- if the Demons/Possessed do turn out to be a team- they will be a third distinct evil team and not on the side of the KGB.

Just keep in mind that if there is another KGB team member (or any other evil characters), they will want the opposing good guy dead with a minimum of effort.

I realize that I can't be trusted until I'm dead. So those of you remaining, please look very closely at who really pushed for my death.

JL was a KGB interrogator so I'm assuming a team of KGB that communicated.

I agree, if there was an assassin and an interrogator I think they communicated. One had Hits, one had Invests, there may be more but I can't see there being too many more with the number of players in this game. Especially since there is another Evil team.

An excellent point. There may be Evils that cannot communicate till they find each other via Invest or some such. But the KGB seem connected as a team based on the roles that we know. We have to balance whether it will do more harm or good to either eliminate Ogre as a possible KGB or leave him in in hopes he has CIA pro-town powers. If he is CIA though, and there isn't some kind of Doctor role, then he is almost surely dead next Nightfall if KGB still get hits. If, by killing the Assassin, the KGB can no longer make Hits, then he may be safe. But then all of that logic leaves out the Demons. We don't know anything about them other than there was at least one Exorcist, DD, after them.

I vote to lynch Ogre.

We know he knew about the KGB. Two of them are dead, which hopefully diminishes their power. I would hate to lynch a Town PR, but it is the best lead out there.
