Mafia 56. An Unknown Evil. THE GAME....

Might as well vote. Only one person knows all the rules so there's no telling what roles and abilities are actually out there. I find JL suspicious for wanting to hold back a vote especially since he said that voting an evil wouldn't help him. Whats so special about his case that voting for an evil would be a problem? Did JL just slip up that he has some sort of role??? I'd like him to answer that.

On a totally random side-note, wasn't Bug2 going to play this game?

You want me to answer if I have a role or not? Have you went to college and starting experimenting with drugs? Is that how things are up north?

I also did not say anything about wanting to hold back a vote - I am wondering why should I vote if I don't have to.

It is really simple, which is going to be held more against me - not voting or voting for an innocent (or even an evil, for reasons stated). Would it be easier just to lay low and not vote. Does it help the town by me voting or not? With players allowed to vote every other day, then is there any accountablity?

Wow we are rolling already. It was still an odd statement JL.

rich, I have most likely made several odd statements. Which one are you talking about, care to quote it and share with us why you think it is odd.

(My dad decided this game wasn't for him.)

Wish we knew how these people had died up to this point. If it was laughing to death then we already know Coler is the culprit.

I'm wondering myself why Jpap took JLs statement and ran with it. The 1st thing I thought of when JL said it was this is true. Then Rich agreeing with Jpap that it was an odd statement also doesn't sit well.

so this is awesome.

I vote to lynch Rocker

he HAS to be evil this time....right?

:evil_lol:
wrong again, friggin innocent.

i love the winter, when does the snow start to fall???

i hope we can catch the rat, this is going to be a hard game

The year is 1960. In North Alaska, a small settlement known as the Aquaria-Central prospect has been cut off from the outside world. Blinding blizzards means no-one may enter or leave the town- the weather has also frozen up and destroyed all means of communications out of the town.

One by one the town members have died mysterious deaths until now, only a handfull remain. Things look bad for the town and a smell of evil permeates the town.

There is a small hope for the townsfolk though. Each morning an amateur newspaper is delivered mysteriously to all residents in the town. The origin of the paper, and who is publishing it, is unknown at this moment. The newspaper may contain hints to help the townsfolk.

One man in the town knows the possible roles of the town but does not know who has each of these roles. The last mayor of the town on his deathbed secretly sent a message to one of the townsfolk detailing exactly what evil faced the town. He promoted this town member as his heir to be the new mayor of the town until all evil is defeated.

I will begin sending out PMs notifying people of their roles shortly. Please wait until you see "DAY 1 BEGINS" before you start posting.

Rules of the game.

1) All communication is to take place on this thread. No private communication is allowed unless otherwise permitted.

2) My PMs to you can not be used as evidence.

3) Any Player can claim to be ANY ROLE. The fact that only the Mayor knows the true roles of this game means you can invent a role and tell people you have it if you like and most people won't know you're lying. The Mayor for strategic reasons is encouraged not to let people know his role.

4) Any Player who does not vote for 2 days in a row will die an untimely death.

5) This is a bluffing game- no comments are to be taken personally.

6) The dead may not post on the conversation thread. Evil players who die will win if their evil team wins.

7) INNOCENT PLAYERS WHO DIE ARE NO LONGER INNOCENT - it is forbidden for dead innocent players from communicating with living innocent players privately even if they had previously been allowed. The innocent dead have their own objective once they die and still have a chance (a small one) of winning at the expense of the living. DO NOT TRUST THE DEAD.

This one is messing with my head already, Wycco. Not knowing what we're up against, it'll be way too easy to read too much into, well.. everything. :(

From what we've got in the rules, it seems we're dealing with an evil threat (clearly) but also that business about the dead no longer being innocent and not being able to trust dead innocents.... WTH?

Does that mean dead innocents join the mysterious evil threat (as in communicating scum team types)? Or do the dead innocents become their own (separate) scum team (in which case, it's more like we're fighting two mafia teams)? We also had a game a while back where dead players could be resurrected.

Whatever happens, this one's definitely going to be a challenge.

Ah, sorry. I was going to chop down the Wycco quotes to just the few points I posted about.

something fishy is going on here:p:
